Its hard to not feel appreciated but in my years of suffering with this exact feeling you have is the more you dislike your heart the more brittle and fragile we become. Let the guilt go. Sometimes it is so hard to "pay it forward" Sometimes paying it forward involves putting anothers needs or feelings above your own. But If somebody didn't pay it forward to me, I would not be here now. So I have to pay it forward to somebody else.

This movies came out when I was younger , I never forget how it ended and I never forgot this scene. The message was so deep to me that my entire life I have always helped people endlessly. if its feeding a homeless person. or getting them a hot coffee, helping a friend or just being there for emotional support. people today could think more about others then we wouldn't have so much hate, right now we have so many issues. But they are mostly being created by the media, the media doenst focus on any good news anymore. it just point the finger at what they choose to be evil. manipulating people. I just would hope everyone can wake up, not fall into victimhood. work hard for yourself and try to help others. Dont think that your goals arent possible, they only become impossible when you give up . stay strong to anyone going thru hard times, I've been blessed with good health and great mentors. peace to anyone out there reading or watching the movie

Had to rewatch this as it is one of my absolutely favorite movies and when I got to the part when Jerry (the homeless man) was talking to Arlene about what it's like finally realizing you messed up so badly, god that hit me. I've been homeless before and when he described crawling into a dumpster for shelter I cried. This movie has so much impact

I suppose some may perceive me as idealistic, hopelessly romantic and unrealistic. That kindness cant change the world, that doing right vs being more selfish is setting myself up to he hurt, that the world doesnt care, that one mistake in life that is forgiver is weakness of the forgiver, that someones past is a clue of the future. This movie and foundation is mindset and way of life we all should be like. Im mo angel and made my mistakes but the hope and faith god graced me with . Sustains me through the world is shit times. Never giving up, will continue to care as i know and believe all is not lost.

Not perfect, but actually an influential and memorable movie. Last winter, just days before Christmas, I went to the KFC drive through. I ordered through the mic, when I got to the window to pay, the waiter/clerk told me my order is already paid for. it was fairly big, the bucket, couple sodas, etc. and he told me the car before me paid for it and that if I want to pay or whatever, they're waiting in the parking lot. and he pointed a finger towards the car. I went there. Two young boys, 19-20 at the most outside an old car. I asked about the payment. One of them told me he paid for the food and he hopes I enjoy it. I told him no, that I will pay him, but that I don't have enough as I wanted to pay with a card. He insisted he doesn't want anything. He told me he just saw it as a good deed. We went back and forth, but he just refused to take any money. So finally I gave up, I asked them where they're going, so on and we parted ways. I went to a gas station right away, where I bought two packs of some better (for the gas station) candy and when I paid, I told the clerk what happened and that since the boy didn't take my money, I'm paying it forward. And I asked him if he likes the stuff I bought, he said yes, so I gave one pack to him. He told me now he has to do something too. IDK if I would've done this without seeing the film to be honest. I thought about the "pay it forward" concept almost immediately. Now I don't presume what the gas station clerk did and IDK if what the boy did was just a teenage fad of the moment. But I do know that I was feeling REALLY down at the time and this one little thing did lift my spirits for a moment and it made me do something better, which made me feel better for a moment. And I remember it. So you know, there is something to it. Occasionally doing something for someone that they don't expect.

When someone does something good for you, but also something that is big= important, and that you cannot do by yourself, possible that you didn't know you needed, or that you wouldn't consider doable, then you entered in the "game" of "Pay it forward". 2. You can thank this person by communicating him/ her your gratitude, but the real thanks will be if you will look for 3 other people and do for each something big, that would matter to them. If no one stops this "game", it will change each of us, thus, the whole world.
