Pierce Brosnan was definitely the most suave and classy of the Bond castings. He brought a news perspective of charm and humor to the role of James Bond. It’s a shame the other movie scripts didn’t really allow for much after Goldeneye otherwise there would definitely be a case for Pierce Brosnan being the unbiased greatest 007 to ever drink a vodka martini that was shaken, not stirred.
@babapambazuka2845 Жыл бұрын
What makes it even worse is that Brosnan WANTED to depict the grimmer, realer Bond with more of a sanctioned killer's inevitable scars like Daniel Craig was finally allowed to, but so long as "Cubby" was still alive he wasn't having it, determined to keep both the character and stories smarmy, glib, and shallowly fantastic.

I believe Goldeneye 007 was also one of the first FPS games to have objectives, everything else was just aimlessly wandering around until you find an exit. the Brosnan era of Bond was also a peak era for Bond videogames. Goldeneye was a really unexpected mega hit for Nintendo on the N64. The popularity of that Bond game caused every Brosnan Bond film to have a game based on it. EA even made an unofficial sequel to Goldeneye, and there was also that Danial Craig remake of Goldeneye. They tried to make original Bond games with Bloodstone. Danial Craig era Bond is just too low-key to be good fodder for Bond games.

The Brosnan bond movies and video games will always have a place in my heart. I think hes the guy I think of when I think of James Bond.

We aim to please (Bond - Goldeneye). The weird thing is Pierce Brosnan is considered to be the weakest Bond in the Bond lists. But his Bond entries were quite successful with each successive entry. Can understand how he was seriously pissed at being let go in favour of Craig. As at the start he wanted to as many or more films than Moore.

He should've gotten them. He was, in my opinion, THE Bond.

He is the weakest Bond. Even under George Lazenby. I'm not hating for no reason. I just never found Brosnan interesting in the role. Little charisma and rehashed Roger Moore with a bit of Connery. Brosnan even admitted in interviews he never felt like he had a handle on the character and how to give it something new. It showed imo.

Ya know Once Craig is done I wouldn't mind seeing the next Bond go back to a retro Goofy Sixties style.

We forget just how good of a shape Brosnan was in this one. All the talk about Daniel Craig's body, but Pierce was lean and looked 10 years younger then the next film.

Tomorrow Never Dies is great. The other Brosnan films are weak in my opinion, but Brosnan is great as Bond. Connery was original and best, in my mind.

I bought a N64 off a friend that came with GoldenEye at a discount. Best purchase ever made. Another friend had a fairly large TV so 2-4 of us would run around unloading bullets or rockets into our digitals hides. I loved the sniper missions in the snow in the main mission. Overall it was a rare case of game based on a movie that wasn't a cheap cash grab
