The video is absolutely beautiful. Hearing the words of the song return, seeing them incorporated into the moving images, gives me a new perception of the tune. The graceful young ladies entranced in their own world and actions, could very easily be keepers of the flame for an ancient, ancestral religion. A time before Christianity, or embracing Tao, or Buddhism. So many moments: Diaphanous veils catching the wind, fingers pricked to allow beads of blood, the setting of a natural world, unblemished by the modern age. The garments could be from the Middle Ages, or ancient Greece- or the late 1960's. There's a timelessness about setting, costumes, even the body movements in this video, and it causes me to want to hear the song again, and again. I'm under the spell...
