Another great vid mate, love the M3. I found it very slippery at first but that was just the sunscreen residue on my hands - now I wipe the palms of my hands thoroughly with a towel before going out and the grip is sensational, confident ducking under the bigger ones.

@@dreamlifephotography Definitely keep using the sunscreen haha, I just wipe off the insides of hands. I've been sunburnt way too many times growing up and am paying for it now. Happy to be part of the stoke mate love your work and what you're doing in the courses and private FB group - It's fast-tracked my learning so much, thanks again.

Hey Tom, do you grease the main o-rings or just the buttons? I heard you’re meant to leave the o-rings dry but not entirely sure
@dreamlifephotography Жыл бұрын
Hey mate, thanks for your question. So if you are using Aquatech water housings they recommend to leave the main o-rings dry... they DO NOT require grease and it can actually do more harm than good. so just keep them clean but don't grease.. I think the button o-rings can be greased but personally I don't... I just get a service on my housing every couple of years and they do all that.... but this is for aquatech, I know some other brands suggests to grease... hope that helps

@@dreamlifephotography thanks mate yeah I’m using the aquatech. Haven’t had any dramas with the o-rings being greased yet but I’ll take them out and give them a good clean up and do without in the future. Thanks for getting back to me. Cheers

Hi Tom - I remember you used to set manual focus on your wide lens before entering the water then not change it out there. Are you still using that approach or auto focusing it now with the R5? Thanks mate

Great question mate. So I am using the manual focus with wides less these days with the R5 because it is so accurate, however the manual focus techniques for ultra wides above the surface of the water is still a very solid technique... the advantage of using auto focus is that if you did want to get a few shots below the surface of the water then you need to be in auto focus.... what camera are you using?
