Forget that draft pick! We have enough young talent right now, these guys have to continue developing, we can enjoy the process of this quick turnaround with familiar faces!

What did Holland do in last game. For 12 of his 15 minutes, he was minus 17. But in the other 3 minutes, with a unit of Cade, Moore Jr, Tech, Holland, Reed, he was plus 10. That stretch started with us down 20, ended with us right back in the game. This is a trend - you put any three of our top defenders in together, Moore Jr, Holland, Thompson, Reed, Sasser, the other team can't score. People like to include Stewart as one of our top defenders - but no, he is hardly in the same league as the above mentioned 5, all of whom move extremely well. What did Reed do? Plus 2 in three of his minutes. Plus 10 in the 3 minutes with the unit of, you guessed it, Cade, Moore Jr, Tech, Holland, Reed. How about Cade - minus 2, for most of his minutes, but plus 10 in that 3 minutes with Cade, Moore... How did Tech do? minus 13, in most of his minutes - but plus 10 in the 3 minutes with Cade, Moore... Now, the real question - how did Moore do? Plus 10, in his three minutes. Moore was plus 7 in his recent start, meaning he is plus 17 in his last 18 minutes of play. Thompson is out tonight, sick. Given the choice of Moore Jr, plus 17 in his last 18 minutes, vs. Beasley, minus 15 last game, quick, make a choice. My choice, go with defense, have Moore start. And when Thompson comes back, Start Cade, Moore Jr, Thompson, Harris, Duren. Meanwhile, yes, Holland should start. Stewart last game, minus 11. He was surrounded by athletic, talented players that he could not compete with. Portland saw him near the hoop, they automatically attacked that hoop. Reed is the much, much better player. Cade is not top 20, for the season. However, yes, if you look at the last 18 games. PS, on PER, on this team, he is second, behind Reed.
