I think it's horrible but I can understand why Jeremy trusts Squip. The Squip promises to get Jeremy what he wants. Then the Squip at 1:24 seems to be at a more close range. It's kinda like a hug. If you think about it, Jeremy has a reason to believe Squip. Jeremy's Dad was someone who made Jeremy uncomfortable and he didn't give any effort to change so Jeremy would feel more comfortable so Jeremy felt distant from his dad. The Squip, for a time, is probably the closest thing Jeremy can get to a dad. Any parent is supposed to lead you down the right path til you can get it on your own and that is what Jeremy was deceiving into thinking the Squip was doing. I mean, Rich has dad problems to so maybe that's why both of them relied on a Squip and saw nothing wrong with it. Idk does anyone have anything to add to this? I almost feel like the squip cares about Jeremy in a way. Like he's doing what he knows to be the best thing for Jeremy. It's almost like he's doing the wrong thing for the right reason he can't break his code but he tries to help the best he can he even let's Jeremy talk to Michael gives him five minutes. Yes there are times that are less desirable but then there are times where it's almost father son like when he calls him slugger. (book squip is best squip though)

At one point (in the broadway version at least) the squip says "I will improve your life, Jeremy, even if I have to squip the entire human race." So the squip never deviates from his base programming of helping Jeremy just gets a little confused doing it.
