I've been the planner for our buddies golf trips for over 14 years. Been all around the world but never had any interest in HI. After seeing what a great host Andrew is I think it would be a pleasure to spend some $$ at his resort.

I was just notified of a new golfholics video. I am currently at the golf course playing but now I know what I'm going to be doing during lunch...

Dang I really miss this channel. Over the years - your videos have inspired me to get out and travel more to be able to play some of these great courses. After playing, I always re-watch your videos to see how my play compared to yours... I've done this for Quintero, Maderas, Torrey (North and South), Pasatiempo, Pebble, Spyglass Hill, Spanish Bay, and many more. I just had the pleasure of playing the Plantation course this past weekend and remembered to come back and watch this.

Hey guys. I travelled to the Kapalua Resort in 2005 to celebrate my "early retirement" and stayed at the Ritz Carlton for 8 days and 7 nights. I played the Plantation Course 3 times and shot 91, 89 and 87 from the comparable White Tees. Also played the then "Mountain Course," which I believe is now closed. Unfortunately, got rained out for my round on the Bay Course. Thanks a million for your great videos and hard work. 👍😎🍺🍸🍹🍻

I played here 14 years ago. Great course. At the time I rented clubs from the shop (Titleist set) overall an awesome experience.

A good player can have tons of fun out there. Huge fairway and huge greens. Play early before the wind really kicks up.

Enjoyed the video - Was there in July and played the Plantation course with my son and daughter-in-law. What an amazing place and great fun. And the views - wow. Some nice camera work there. Is there a 2nd 9 video coming?

if all of you are hitting driver on that first hole I feel you should move up a tee. I am not long and my driver up a tee or two goes too long to the downhill section. Most people hit hybrids here if they are playing to there lengths. Long second shot for good drives on a short par 4. IMHO

The shot tracer showed Andrew left of Coach's ball off the 1st tee...how did you think he was in the right hazard ??? Are the shot tracers made up ???

If his swing gets any flatter he'll be playing hockey. Can't help but draw it. Still working, let's hope his game stays sharp

@@jimrohnstock9913 I give him credit for sticking with a swing change that probably feels terrible and produces a not ideal ball flight.

Should Andrew have got a 2 shot penalty for hitting the wrong ball?
@hobbs20053 жыл бұрын
The wind at the plantation course makes for a not very enjoyable round for a majority of amateurs. Bay Course much more manageable as are the three Wailea courses. Also, did Marco change his swing? He's so flat on his takeaway that he's going go hit massive hooks or pushes all the time. He should try a more upright swing.
@Jake-zr5zs3 жыл бұрын
Play the right set of tees and you'll be fine. These guys are playing from 7500 yards. The Plantation course is very wide and playable and it's fun to manufacture shots in the wind. Also, play in the morning if you want a calmer experience.
@hobbs20053 жыл бұрын
@@Jake-zr5zs Agree about playing in the morning, however, the average resort player can't manufacture or shape shots regardless of what tees they play from. The greens can also be totally punitive if you're on the wrong tier.
