It's the gloss when you're using enamel wash that creates the capillary action you won't get it without the gloss coat. If you glossed as normal then applied I think the results would have been better.

OK, interesting. Do you think that an acryllic gloss would have been able to withstand being rubbed over when the wash was removed from the flat surfaces?

modeldads In my experience yes it would be fine.

Good demo and review. I usually only pinwash carefully if I haven't coated a mini for weathering. I think these would be good for that. I was really surprised by both the nice color coating and resilience of the undercoating sprays though. I think I'll give a couple of those a try. Thanks.

Thinned Alkyd oil paints will give at least as good a finish at a fraction of the price.

Even after seeing many many pictures and videos of it, I am still extremely confused why a tank needs a base
@CMLew10 жыл бұрын
I prefer it purely because the infantry have bases too. Makes everything look more uniform. Also makes each tank a little like its own diorama. Its not that it needs a base as much as its my preference. Your milage may vary.

It stops big fat greasy fingers picking up your crafted tanks the wrong way and breaking something off.....

I assume you need to varnish the final product or sweaty fingers will smear it again?

I'm curious to see the weathering spray, any chance you'll review those too? Great review as always!
