The way Sony handles these "limited editions" is a slap in the face of the fans who've made them what they are. They don't care if their actual fans get a chance to purchase these editions, or scalpers get them. IMO, they shouldn't have numbered the Pro, and made all 30th anniversary editions available until the end of this year, that way us regular folks could actually have a chance at buying them, but once again, Sony doesn't care about us, cuz they made their money. As for the slim, I'm sure there are grey plates that will be available from Dbrand, if the color is your thing.

Did anyone else see a bunch of extra "Pending" charges? My wife showed me a screenshot of our account. I got one controller and it showed 10 pending charges. I got one console and it showed two pending charges and I got on of the ps portals and it showed 5 of those. I'm sure they'll disappear but if I get them all I'll gladly sell them at a reasonable price just to cover my initial expense.

Yes they are a temporary hold. You will get anything that has an official order number. The rest will be refunded before it is fully processed.

Update: Yes I got the same thing on my credit card. Sony does this to make sure you have the money available and then they will recharge your card within a week when the items are about to ship.

My bank checks with me all the time too! They emailed me advising they sent it through, but was validating. I had two iPads logged into Direct. I ended up ordering another Pro to make sure on the other one. I have two nice televisions so it won’t hurt. Coming to find out both indeed did go through. I think as we get closer to Christmas the Pros will disappear. Scalpers will definitely torture Walmart, Best Buy, Target and Amazon! Not to mention some of them will cancel customer’s preorders!

I even made sure last night I updated my card on file to make sure everything was smooth. I still got kicked. Do you what makes no sense to me is how the 30th anniversary ps5 standard console 499.99 and same price as regular slim. My spider-man 2 console was 599 and one hundred more than original ps5. So why the 30th anniversary ps5 slim cheaper than spider-man limited edition console. It should be the same price at least 599 or 699, in my opinion.

I was able to get in there right when the queue started at 9 o’clock and able to get in and I was gonna just get the regular one of the slim one for 500 but I decided to go for the pro and I was able to get it and I secured it And then after I was able to get back in later, I decided I was able to get a normal controller and the PlayStation portal before those two sold out too so I got everything I wanted to get just in time. I’m so excited. I can’t believe it. I got it, but I got it. 🎉

I got lucky ..i have ps4 never intended to upgrade because im playing less now #kids,.but when this was announced i decided to try heard there was no chance but i got lucky and yes i too experienced glitches while trying to buy..side note i still got my first ps1
