The fact that in 1588 During the Spanish English war - where NO ENGLISH CATHOLIIC fought against Elizabeth suggests how successful Elizabeth’s religious policy was . - her moderate religious policy turned out to be successful as not even during a time where England went to war with Spain because of religion NO Catholics went to war against England despite their religious faith. Shows that by the end of Elizabeth's reign Englands was united in tetms of religion as only 10% were catholic. So the majority were Protestant . Now is this because of time - ie catholics in England dying out( she reigned until 1603) but nevertheless her religious policy was a dices as she achieved what she wanted. . Englands state religion was Protestant , she established a Church of England once again , she removed papal supremacy and she in a way resolved England's religious division .
