So sorry about your plumbing situation, Kay. Yes, home ownership is full of surprises. Just added Maple Hill greek yogurt to my Whole Foods shopping list. I went by there today actually, looking for bitter melon. I’ve been watching a group of Filipina youtubers living in Japan and I’m determined to try some of the vegetables they grow and eat 😊. I was able to find Japanese sweet potatoes and kabocha squash. Your plants are really cute. And your supper looked delicious!

Beautiful plants ; beautiful supper ; dismal plumbing problems. I get all squeelish when my gift subscription of good wool yarn arrives. I’m so sorry about the plumbing situation, that is difficult to deal with, not to mention expensive. It is indeed the homeowner’s nightmare…❤❤❤ we are preparing for Milton right now, we are right in the landfall zone, so please keep us in your thoughts. We’re used to them, but the power and size of one has me shook. So glad to be able to watch this, with a cup of tea, perfect distraction.

Here's hoping that your leak situation ends up not being a worst case scenario. So glad the issue was found and is being dealt with so quickly. We're having a very rainy day today here so your rainy day felt like you were nearby and not across the country. Love to see you so excited for your new plant babies. I’m so sorry about your plumbing. I had to replace my sewer mainline a few years ago. It’s a mess and expensive. Everything is fixable and then your plumbing will be in good shape. ❤️

I'm sorry about the plumbing situation, I hope it gets fixed as best as it can be to not cause you any more problems, and like you said, one thing at a time. This is one thing I loathe about the "joys" of home ownership.

Sorry about the plumbing issues. I love my philodendron, they are my favorites. I have one that has vined so well (across my living room at his point). They are so gorgeous. ❤

I'm feeling the struggle, we had to have the main sewage line that comes from the house out to the road replaced earlier this year and it was stressful with the not having water (and me having IBS and no toilet is not ideal) and trying to plan food. We rent though, so we didn't have to feel THAT struggle. lol We have been in this house for over 10 years and on at least 3 occasions the basement has flooded with sewage (it's not a finished basement at least). I'm pretty sure the landlord thought it was something we were doing but it turns out that sewage line was not only narrowed from decades of grease build up, but was also caving in. smh

ps bonus ; today and even yesterday were Visitors Bureau Post Card perfect weather . We are so blessed to be able to know that a horror like Milton is on the way ; plenty of people on the road from south of us going as north as they can get. Right where i am we may be in just the petticoats of the storm as it sweeps over the entire state.

Maple Hill changed their milk cartons too, I get their organic whole milk for my coffee. lol

I have 3 large chicken thighs in homemade marinade right now for a little later. 1/4c ea of olive oil and lemon juice, diced garlic, oregano, and salt. Cook on medium in pan for approx. 7 mins each side. So good. *chefs kiss*

I had to a water and mold abatement in 2021. Stressful doesn't even describe having to do that.

In a Condo, the Mgmt is responsible for everything outside the wall. You are responsible for everything inside the apt. Worked in Property Mgmt for many years. Looks like it is in your favor.

I would suggest calling your insurance company to start a claim if there is mold.

We are meeting an insurance adjuster today here. Pretty sure they are going to be helpful. Quite a mess!
