A bloody time capsule is this video. Everyone, even Shane, were still lucid somewhat and skinnier. And seeing a bit of Cait (original bassist) during Waxie's Dargle, was a treat. The French Subs were a hoot

This is proba3the best video I've seen about the bands early years. One thing it shows up to perf3 Is something often forgetten about Mr mac gowan.... Just how shy he is. Once you know that, a lot falls into place.

One of your band mates said when you label your music, it is an insult to the band and to the public perception. Let the public label it. Don’t give out any preconceived ideas. Amen😅

Shane Treacy Zis is his job. And they won’t show when he cannot do it but it happens. He was fired from the band once and founded another one (the Popes, of course). I saw them in Montreux, Switzerland. Then they re-hired him because he cannot be replaced that easily for he is the soul of the band and a great poet and performer. Chops my ass that Lemmy’s dead and Shane is still alive. I think 🤔 😉👍🏻

Shane is being MUCH to modest about the musicianship of the Pogues. Not only was he a masterful and poetic lyricist and gifted singer, but every one of the band members was incredibly skilled.

Wow, I can actually hear Shane's London accent very clearly. Nowadays when he talks, even if you can understand him, his accent is obscured by the slurred-ness and the lack of teeth. His laugh if the same, though.

Its crazy that they were an English band and manufactured in a way. I'm second generation Ireland my dad still in Ireland and I've heard the Pogues my whole life but only greatest hits and couldn't believe when looked into there catolugue that they only done 3 great albums RRFM,RSANDTL,IISFFGOGOD and HD could of been good if shane could sing and couldn't believe Shane was only on form for 4 years and detoriated so quick! Along with Kurt Cobain Shane was biggest loss to music and i mean musically he was dead by 1990
