thank you so much for covering this. POGO is a huge part of my life and have loved this game for years. I am so unbelievably pissed at Niantic. there was nothing wrong with the old system. they constantly change things that almost no one asks for, yet completely ignore things that the community needs like other USEFUL QOL changes, bug fixes, etc. and then falls silent every time an update is perceived negatively by their community. i would be absolutely shocked if at bare minimum they even address this at all.

I started playing pogo in july 2016, 1 week after released. Since the game came out I dumped over 20k. Not proud by any means. I maybe play once or twice a week now and spend zero dollars now. It's just going downhill in general. Same pokemon, same raids rerolled back out. Seeing this update really upsets me but helps me push away more from the game. I have a big community that plays around me still. Since mid 2020 I've switched he'd from spending money on pogo to pokemon cards. Way better investment.
