2:25. Look closely at Copeland. He's playing the snare with his left hand and the cymbal with his right. He breaks the snare stick so while he's grabbing a replacement, his right hand does double duty continuing to play the cymbal but hitting the snare as well. I've seen him do this on many occasions. The guy literally never misses a beat!

I love The Police. And I especially love this performance because it shows that they are human. The so called out of tune chord just adds to the performance. Notice Sting just smiles it off, and he's is a perfectionist. I have listened to this performance so much that the so called out of tune part is music to my ears. It is Ear Delicious! The stage is hot and they are coming back for an encore. Instruments don't have cooling, so out of tuning happens. Besides the audience is loving it. I love it.
@MacintoshPlus1MB6 жыл бұрын
Serge Lafargue It isn’t “so-called”, and it isn’t a part; the guitar is tuned flatter than the bass, and Sting’s vocals are off (forgivable because it’s the last song in a long set on a long tour). But the fact that you said “out of tune chord” just affirms to me that you don’t really know what you’re talking about

JÖHN GRAY- The Fact that Sting went solo and sold over 50 million records is a testament of his talent. Copeland got lucky to find a such a talented bass singer to lead the band. Without Sting, the Police would have been an average or a niche band. Sting was literate songwriter who knew how to compose some of the greatest pop rock songs. Even Copeland agreed that he hit the jackpot by finding and recruiting Sting.
