The Thinking Muslim

Күн бұрын

A question many Western analysts have attempted to answer is whether Islam is a political faith. To help us understand the subject, we have invited an Dr. Fadhl Hasan. Dr Fadl is a Co-Founder of the Dar Al Ilm Institute. He was born and raised in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he memorised the Quran and attained his foundational knowledge of Arabic and Islamic sciences. He runs a publishing solutions company that, in addition to publishing Islamic texts, focuses on the revival and awakening of the Islamic Ummah. His research interests include Usul, Fiqh, and Muamalaat - Islamic Economics.

Professor Joel Hayward on Blogging Theology podcast stressed the fact that the Prophet ﷺ had a brilliant political mind, but NEVER compromised on religious matters!!!! Something that many tend to ignore

Sal Allahu Alayhi Wa-Sellim's brilliance was in perfecting character! Very poor wording Seamus. He's the most influential man that ever lived... he travelled further into outer space than anyone ever... under his leadership, all the military campaigns, resulted in the deaths of less than a few thousand people. Contrast that with the politics of the 'brilliant' minds from the "Age of Reasoning to the current NWO": Democratic values... 'race-based' oppression... and the politics of economic theories... have shed more blood, killed more innocent people even with one b-mb and the latest projects like the EU & UN have not come even close to its mandate and article objectives. The EU allowed a genocide of Bosnians... the UN let Iraq burn under false pretenses... Palestine issue remains among the most unjust results of the wrongly celebrated people who forged the existing system. There's only one Absolute Ruler qualified & worthy to be loved, served, adored & obeyed and Muhammad is the Messenger of the Absolute Ruler. ☝🏽 Lol that is what the most "brilliant" modern political theories have produced.

@@MrFineTunedI find this view that tries to portray the Prophet (pbuh) as perfection a bit problematic. Only God is perfect. His messengers are not, although they are best from amongst the people. This does however mean that prophets make mistakes and it’s clear our nabi did too. God corrects him in the Quran and the messenger did repent and admit not everything he advises is from God (for instance the event of him erring in telling the farmers not to smack certain plants together, which was actually helping fertilization and pollination of them, because he thought it was just pre Islamic practices of superstition). We Muslims are backing ourselves into corners by deifying the image of our messenger when he was a human being. All human beings make mistakes and are prone to fall into sin. Albeit the main belief is that messengers don’t commit major sins which take you out of faith.

OMG this is exactly what British Muslims need. We have colonised minds. We need a knowledge of Quran and Seerah. I had a basic knowledge of the Meccan period from childhood, but the full Seerah is SO important.

Really addicted to this channel because it educates me a lot. The way the seerah explained here in a political way was excellent. I had the same doubts which were discussed in this podcast. Alhamdulillah my love for studying seerah has increased. May Allah bless and reward both of you. And let the channel grow and educate much more and more people.

One day you'll need to invite the good Dr. to speak about all the things he didn't elaborate on because of time constraints. Enjoyed the podcast and added a new perspective to the Seerah. Barakallahu fiikum.

May Allah reward u, interesting content and the subject, br fadhal knows this subject, he is trained in this type of content but in this programme he does not seem so confident as he as a person is. This type of content makes the methodology for achieving this a necssary prerequisite, and br fadhal can decipher than also with ease. Hopefully u will adress that in this podcast itself but if not in this u will make another one ,because what is really needed is the basis for action not just a theological understanding.

It would be good if you could do an analysis or bring in an expert that can explain of why the Palestinians are struggling still after 70 yrs and Afghanistan was able to tackle the Soviet and the USA on slaughter. What could be different and what could there be lessons here.

We as Muslims do not need explanations from anyone about the difficulties that the Ummah is facing. As our deeds are,so will be our condition. Let us all introspec deeply about our adherence to our faith and the tennnents of our Faith. When our earnings and livelihood is questionable, When our consumption of haram and doubtful food is increasing, when we take interest and give interest in our banking accounts , When we bring in bidat practices in our pure and true Deen . When our mother's and sisters dress in the worst of clothing, When our Men and brothers frequent gambling and prostitution dens . When we ignore the call to prayers, When we don't pay our Zakaat, When we don't sacrifice the animal when we have the means ,When we rebuff the beggar , When we usurp the inheritance of our family members and the orphans. When we opress our wives and don't grant them their lawful Sharia rights, then expect the punishment from ALLAH SWT. ALLAH SWT will appoint tyrants to rule over you . Si in sum make istigfaar sincerely, INSHA'ALLAH the nusrat if ALLAH SWT WILL come . Like it came in Badr, Khandaq .Mauta, Siffin and countless other wars and battles.
