Hi Jerry and Linda, my 1 1/2 yr old kitten loves to chase the lizards, catches them in her mouth and then wants to bring them to me as presents. The lizards are quick, but my little "Salena" is quicker and one time she did catch one so quickly that I didn't see she had it in her mouth! I opened the slide door to let her in and when I turned around, there she was batting this poor little baby lizard around like a ball! I got it away from her and put it back outside, while my cat sat there bewildered about where her new playmate had gone. LOL Yay, I'm so glad The Villages trolleys are coming back! One of my favorite things to do when my guests visit is to book them on a trolley tour, so they get a better understanding of what The Villages is all about and I learn something new also. Linda, have a safe and enjoyable trip and congratulations to both of you on the birth of your new grand baby!...............until next time. ❤

We were told there is a 5 month wait for our golf cart. They also told us they had no inventory to sell nor to rent this was back in September 2021 at the village. There are golf cart off the villages we didn’t look into that.

Love you guys! I, too, have a dachshund. Her name is Bella. She’s my pandemic puppy, and she had her 1st birthday in August. Her favorite toy is named Gizmo. I just had LVP flooring installed in my home, but Bella is not thrilled. I’m sure that, like Gizmo, she prefers the carpeting. Re. the AEDs, these are great things to have. I was diagnosed with an arrhythmia way back in the late ‘90s, and I have an automatic implanted cardio defibrillator. It has delivered therapy on a few occasions. Thank goodness I’m still alive and doing well. Linda, wishing you safe travels.

My church in San Diego has a community garden. Growers pay $30. A month. We provide supplies. Growers are asked to contribute 10% of the produce for a local soup kitchen.....not “most of their produce”. We have a waiting list for growers.

Sorry Jerry, but here in Ft.Pierce ,we have a place called Neals produce, I moved here in the early 70’s ,and they were here then. Anyway they have wonderful fruits and vegetables all year around, and yes wonderful big red nice tomatoes. Drive down sometime and load up. God bless.

Tomatoes are usually sprayed with a gas to make them red. That is the reason why tomatoes are hard most of the time. Try leaving them on your counter for a few days. Most of the time they will get softer and sweeter.

So we ordered our cart last week. It won't be in until March or April. Reconditioned carts will be longer! I thought I saw a place on 466A or 44 that said they lease carts. Not sure how true that is. There are some other places that sell golf carts outside of the Villages (like up towards Ocala or Tampa) in which you might have better luck. We chose to get our cart from the Villages Golf Cars in Brownwood for a couple reasons. First you get a loaner if your cart has to stay in for repairs and second they have a really good warranty. We had a great experience purchasing ours from Tim Bucher. If you decide to get one there, tell him we sent you. I have his contact info if you need it 👋

I love that there are AED machines around The Villages. It is comforting to know they are around. My husband is still working from home. He’s supposed to retire the end of the year. Can’t wait for Monday mornings, your happy positive videos(especially the real star, Gizmo’s remarks), I always get a giggle😂. I learn from you, since living here almost 7 mos., still so much that we don’t know yet. But here is what I learned from asking at the farmer’s market from 2 different sellers there. I also miss our own home grown tomatoes that we grew in our backyard in Chicago, so I I did ask them, why no tasty tomatoes here in Florida, we thought this would be the place for veggies, and both sellers said, it’s too hot in the summer months for tomatoes, but the ones they sell at the squares, are from North Carolina & if I remember correctly, another state here in the south. They said January, Feb., and I think March are cooler and the crop of tomatoes would be from Florida. Hope so, we miss the tomatoes 🍅😘

We lived in Houston for decades. Difficult to grow summer tomatoes in hot weather because gardening experts say tomato blooms need night temperatures below 75 degrees i order to set.

I did not know about the AEDs stationed throughout each village. We are building in St Catherine, move in 3 weeks from today. Throughout the sales and build process to date, this is the first I have heard of these near the homes. Thanks for the info, as always! Oh, a thought, perhaps a show on this in more depth where Linda demonstrates the AED on Jerry? What could go wrong??

So true. I watch your videos(female) but doubt I could convince my husband to watch them. Gizmo steals the show. We have a living room carpet that we just can't muster up the gumption to get rid of. Beautiful hard wood floors are underneath. But we like the carpet because it is warm on the feet, can sit on it and work on stuff like assembling a book shelf for instance, can do yoga or follow along with exercise videos. So Gizmo, I vote yes for the carpet. The carpet came with the house we bought, our carpet is a hideous blue color but it is an originally expensive carpet and still is plush and comfy after many years. Again, a yes vote for the carpet, Gizmo.
