Would you say this could serve as an on-camera monitor for Komodo X? Or would you say it's too heavy/big for a camera rig?
@itmeremyАй бұрын
@OdinRyder-s6y it could definitely work on a KX, it is big so there might be some cases where it could be too big. I use it on my FX30 rig and the KX is bigger than that. I've used a KX with a Portkeys 7" monitor and it was in no way too big

@@itmeremy Thank you for your reply! How would you say it compares (in terms of an on camera monitor) to the Atomos Shinobi 7"? Would you say clarity/quality would be on par?

@OdinRyder-s6y I haven't used the Shinibi 7, definitely a much better screen than the original Shinobi 5. It's of course going to have less pixel density because it's larger but still the same resolution as most other monitors. But it's absolutely clear enough. I think the 2 biggest downsides are the size/weight and the fact that it's not touchscreen

Can you power it off of one battery? Looking to get a getting one but want to use a converter and a vmount battery.

@outfitterdigitalmedia433 yes, I generally run it powered from a V-mount battery using the D-Tap to DC cable that comes with it. You can also run it off 1 or 2 NP-F batteries

@@navpreetsingh8156 to put directly onto the monitor? For a directors monitor, sure, on camera, that's a bit much. Or you power it how I do and use a V-mount battery on the back of the rig to power everything
