If they were to remake Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, they should do a fully voiced cast. Since the old actor of Ike didn't do him in Heroes but Greg Chun did his role, it would be fantastic to hear his emotions redone in a glory fashion. Besides, the old acting in Path of Radiance is very... ehh.

As someone that adores and has played the crap out of both Tellius games, but ultimately sold his physical copies of both of them in order to make rent, I would love a compilation or remaster.

Honestly though it is more than likely we'll get a HD port of the series, I think the Tellius games need remakes (thought not to the extent of of FE6 and FE4) Path of Radiance is overall fine and can be left untouched in most areas, but the 3D graphics and animations even for Gamecube standards look bad and could really do with an overhaul, plus other things like some of the unit balancing (such as Sothe's terrible bases and being unable to promote him) need fixing, along with making the game less mounted unit oriented so that there's a better sense unit viability from the entire cast. Plus even though the support system was better than GBA games, I felt it still took far too long to raise levels and most characters had a very small number of support, so implementing the new system and giving the characters more (not too many) supports would be nice. Radiant Dawn has so many issues that need to be addressed I'll just list some of them without going into detail: Unit balancing, supports, character/team availability, unnecessarily long enemy phases, certain story moments and character scripts (ASTRID!!!), map design (for the most part) etc. I think the idea of them being remade from the ground up is unlikely and HD port would be fine tbh, but getting the echoes treatment could be a big help to the Tellius series (especially Radiant Dawn). As for 30th anniversary, I feel the same as you, a compilation of the some of the series biggest and best games, though even thought it's very recent I wouldn't but it past them to include Awakening just because of how much it means to Fire Emblem at this point, however I don't see that happening on a more realistic level. Also about the video Zerk, even though the points you but across are good, I felt the production quality in regards to editing and such was, not exactly poor but rather... lazy. I mean I know your videos aren't focused on editing/visual techniques and most of the time that isn't a problem, but not only was a lot of the footage you used choppy and of low quality, but doing things like dragging out a single clip over the course a 3 minutes segment that addressed various different points with only occasional text or PNG images to break things up made the whole thing feel like an after thought and rather lackluster. It was still a nice video and an interesting topic of discussion.

I'm attempting different editing styles and seeing what's working, ideally I don't want people just staring at file photos like in some of my older videos. I'm very fickle with the aesthetic and I don't want to risk over-editing, I've made 3-4 videos with the same text style as this and I'm happy with how it looks, as for the choppiness, there was something up with the bitrate that I could not for the life of me fix. this video was recorded on more/less impulse with an ideal short turnaround as I work on more intensive projects like a Xenoblade 2 video and a video about the Toyota supra. evidently that means this video is going to get a bunch of views and I'm gonna get a lot of flak for the more minimalist editing style.

They're grrrrreat. PoR is better, but still. Taken collectively I believe it has the most fully realized and explored setting in any of the games, and the Greil Mercenaries especially are some of my favorite units in the whole series, and how they interact with one another is a highlight to me. It isn't gonna win any awards for writing or anything by any means, but I would go so far as to say taken as a whole it's the best storytelling in Fire Emblem. Now the caveat to that is Radiant Dawn. Radiant Dawn has some issues. One of the biggest I feel from a story perspective is that if you don't play PoR first you frankly are not going to give a shit about anything that is happening to any of the characters. Radiant Dawn is light on characterization outside of the main story and the main story mostly focuses on building upon the people places and events that the previous game started. Like Ike's rivalry with the Black Knight, Elincia's struggles as queen, how the entire first act is a direct result of the first game's ending told from a fresh perspective. The significance of the big mcguffin object that they offhandedly mention like once in RD before it becomes extremely plot relevant later, that thing is much more heavily featured in PoR. RD is very much a PoR part 2 for story.

Part of what I find so fascinating about the Elibe continuity is that the 2 games have 20 years between them. You can appreciate just how much things change or stay the same. So I wouldn't mind a 3rd Elibe game being set one generation after FE6, and maybe have the main lord be from Ilia (perhaps it would be Junno's and Zealot's daughter) or Bern. A game about the Scouring sounds hella dope too.

As much as I would love an HD Tellius remake, since together they probably tell the best story in the series, I fear that Intelligent Systems would release them as 2 separate, full-priced games. While releasing PoR & RD as 1 game would put the number of chapters in line with Fates & Awakening (if you include all the paralogues and xenologues), IS's more recent DLC practices shows that they may put potentially earning more money over a truly great player experience

I would absolutely love it if Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn got HD ports, even though I already spent nearly $200 to get complete copies of both games. They are two of my favorite games in the series, and it's unfortunate neither game sold all that well. As a side note, one thing I think IS should do with Radiant Dawn is fix the difficulty names. I'm guessing you know about it, but not everyone does and I think it'd be a good idea so that people don't accidentally play on hard mode when they pick normal mode.

All i would want in an fe9 port is for them to HIT, MT and CRT during battle scenes, update skills, maybe add gaiden/paralouge/whatever they're called now, and maybe a toned down my castle for Greil Mercenaries HQ for earning optional exp and gold. For Radiant Dawn... hoo boy... a LOT in my opinion needs chaging. First and most importantly i think i speak for mostly everyone is a support convo overhaul because man were those lazy. If we could at least have all the armys be like how they were in Echoes, being seperate but being able to go back and forth if you want y'know options. And like my ideal PoR, have an optional way to earn exp and gold really for the Dawn Brigade because UGH... also maybe give Part 2 some extra fluff that would be excellent. Maaaaaybe make Largo playable?? 😉😉👊👊👌👍. I will say that even though I've played all 15 games, Genealogy, (ESPECIALLY!!!---->) THRACIA 776, Sword of Seals and really Mystery of the Emblem not HoLaS but literally a remake of Shadow Dragon again because its so bad and Heroes of Light and Shadow so like a duo pack like FE3 see? I would rather have all those released first because almost all are Japan only. And that's saying something since Path of Radiance is tied for my second favorite Fire Emblem. (even though magic takes a back seat and no dark magic)

Vadouuu Awakening was my first FE game. Sadly, the more I play other FE games, the more distant I am to Awakening. I can't even beat the game on Hard anymore without Exponential growth. I see more cracks in its design. The censorship issue also puts me off from playing Fates, as well as the multiple pathways. Maybe I will play Fates someday, but I will probably wait until I am bored of every other FE game first.

With the Valentian Accordion having been released with its translations, and the incredible amount of lore we achieved, it opens up the possibilities of new remakes. For one thing, according to the Valentian Revelations, to use Falchion, otherwise known as the Kingsfang, you must have the blood of a Divine Dragon within you and have the Brand. That is the only way to release the power of Falchion. However, Marth before had no known connection of having Divine Dragon blood or the Brand at all in the Archanea series. However, in Awakening, Tiki says to Male Robin in their B support that Chrom resembles an ancestor 1000 years before Marth's time. This ancestor is very likely Sigurd. His son Seliph also has the thing of having Minor Naga blood. For all we know, during this 1000 year gap, perhaps Seliph's descendants got together with another Naga blood user and they eventually passed down a Major Naga Blood to pass to Anri and his brother. And this led to Anri and later on Marth, to be able to wield Falchion. If there's a remake of the Archanea series (again), they might actually rewrite it that Marth and Anri have the Divine Dragon blood and the Brand that allows them to wield Falchion. Some argue that this cheapens Anri and Marth, but I genuinely don't think that is really the case.

Axis But then it could be Alm that Chrom descends from seeing how Echoes went and the fact Tiki moved all the way to Valentia/Valm at some point, mixed with how everyone and their mother keeps comparing Echoes Alm to Marth portrayal in the DS remakes and we have no idea what happen to Valentia's Falchion during the gap between FE 1-3 and Awakening especially as Chrom's Falchion is WAY DIFFERENT then the one Marth and Alm used, seeing how it's said the original broke and had to be reforged. My own theory is at some point Alm and Celicia's original United kingdom of Valentia collapsed at some point and their descentants moved to Archanea, at some point that descentant who was the mentioned Exalt to defeat Grima when it first surfaced married Marth's descentant who was likely female and was similar to her other ancestor Ceada (sorry if I meased up her name) hence the "blue haired pegasus rider reference to the first Exalt's wife, that's how the Brand came to be part of Marth's bloodline, likely further empowered by Naga through the first Exalt. It's likely knowledge of his relation to Alm and Celica was lost or he never knew and people mostly confused him for Marth's descendant even though that part of the bloodline came from his wife. Honestly for all we know Chrom is descended from Marth, Alm, Celicia, Seliph (and effect Sigrud and Deirdre) and one of his canon marriage choices (up to you). As for Robin I believe they descend from Kris who I like to think is one of that dude who created Grima's descandant's as thanks to the bloodpact he made, Grima can possess any of his descandant's if their compatable that is hence the whole controlling marriages the Grimaleaf were doing along with Katarina/Reese (as New Mystery heavly feels like their the canon couple especially as it seems to heavily favor male Kris as the canon gender) hence Robin being able to use swords (favored and promoted class for Kris was the Mercenary-Hero) and Magic Tomes (Katarina was a Sage, hell her appearance in Awakening had her in the Tactician class which strengthens my theory though she was the Kris Tactician before she attempted to kill Marth) Oh a crappy note that also means Validar is their descentant as well as the Grima bloodline comes from him (Way to screw up again Kris). Speaking of Kris, I wonder if he/she will make an appearance in Heroes, though not before the Kanas.

Axis I get what you were saying, just saying my own theory, plus we're aware Tiki was most likely sleeping durin Anri's time and never interacted with his era much, and honestly it all starts with Anri as he's the first human to wield the Falchion with his indirect descendants being able to use it as it was his brother's line Marth and his descendants descend from (similiar to Priam or how you say his name who is very likely to be Ike's descendant via Mist who was has a marriage ending with Boyd and (Rolf I think) if she's A ranked with him at the end of Radiant Dawn, especially as Ike's fate is very unknown, hell what happened to Tellius or the other lands Kingdom's and Empires in Awakening's tinline minus Valentia are an unknown and I hold that Fates Sorld is a completely different world conneted only through the insanity of the dragon gate which I almost dismissed as stupid till I remember other world's was made canon in Blazing Sword....still wish they didn't use the open universe thing to justify DLC and characters from game's outside that world as Fates was REALLY hit hard by that to justify the child units to name a few)

At this point, Anri actually isn't anymore. First wielder of Falchion is Emperor Rigel I, who made a blood pact with Duma and attained Falchion, which happened much earlier than Anri. Tiki was also asleep during Sigurd's time, but she somehow knows about this still. Priam is argued on being a direct, indirect, or just someone that learned from the legends.

One of the good things that makes a hd remaster (for rd atleast) is the fact that they still have the original cutscenes in hd. meaning they don't need to remake them or upscale them etc. if they do have the por cutscenes in hd that would be great aswell but that is unknown to the public atleast or if they were ever produced in hd in the first place.

I kinda hope they add some form of amiibo functionality in the game where the character shows up. This would probably work since most people know Ike through Smash, and most of the Fire Emblem amiibo come from Smash. I suspect it'd still be a remake, but more of a half-and-half remake. HD visuals, full voice over with modern voice actors, redone cutscenes by a different studio, amiibo functionality (if those still exist by then), casual mode, a slight redesign of Heather to bring out more sex appeal, tweaked difficulty in Radiant Dawn, and probably a postgame dungeon in which you battle a certain radiant descendant--all of this would be placed atop the existing games.

Sorry to say this but yeah it was pretty distracting. I thought something was wrong with my computer till I booted up a few random KZbin videos that I know runs really well on my computer even on HD settings and they ran just fine. To give you credit tho, I do like the idea of releasing the tellius games in HD for Fire Emblem's 30th anniversary. They're definately some of my favorite Fire Emblem games tied with the internationally released GBA ones and given how Fire Emblem has became more popular and Ike is one of the most popular FE lords ever (besides maybe Marth and Chrom but I digress) It would be a great way to introduce newer FE fans to the tellius games. (assuming they haven't already played them on Dolphin like I did when I was a Fire Emblem noob back in 2016) Not too sure how I feel about the Anniversary collection tho. It's possible but considering how stubborn some (not all) newer fans can be of older FE games just cause they don't have casual mode, most older fans would more than likely not buy it cuz they already have the games and the fact that most of these games can be simply ported on a virtual console, I don't really think porting them to an anniversary collection pakage is a good idea. Unless it's for collectors who perfer physical copies over digital downloads.

I personally would be perfectly happy with just a packaged re-release of Fire Emblem Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, especially since while I have both games my Wii will only play Radiant Dawn. Any form of an HD remake or overhaul would just be the frosting on the cake for me. That said I WOULD LOVE a HD remake of these games and while I think the game could for the most part remain unchanged I think certain units could use a little adjusting in terms of their bases and growths. ESPECIALLY the Dawn Brigade, while most of them do all right if you're smart about kill and level up distribution only a few are ever good units (like Nolan, and Aran) and there are a few (Meg and Fiona anyone?) that require a LOT of effort to get good. Combpounded by the fact the Dawn Brigade faces tougher battles relatively speaking, adjust Meg and Fiona's bases and perhaps growths so that they ARE USEABLE FROM THE START. Beyond that I would suggest having Tormod and company join a LOT sooner. Probably what would make the most sense there is they rejoin around when the Laguz alliance comes on the scene. Seeing as they are the ones who informed the Laguz royals about who was behind the burning of the Serenes Forest. Again I would be happy with just a re-release, but I think if they did go the remake route there are a few things that if addressed would make the game better and a smoother experience overall. Just a personal nitpick of mine but I would like it if at a certain point you could forge any weapon that exists in the game, including the Blade swords, Poleaxes and Greatlances and for magic maybe being able to forge the Arc wind, thunder and fire tomes I foget if crossbows can be forged or not but the Iron, Steel and Silver variants of that should be forgeably in my opinon. Obviously I'm not talking about the brave and killer weapons because those are rare weapons in the game, but any weapon that can be purchased from the armory should in my opinion be able to be forged. Again this is just a personal nitpick of mine since I find the forge a fun mechanic and enjoy forgin weapons and choosing some cool color for it, usually blue.

I'd love to have Radiant Dawn remade... because I stopped by the chapter where the cavalry stops the rebelion because playing on Dolphin was a nightmare. That said, certain aspects of the game were also sorta annoying, like the lack of a skip button, and how slow the characters moved in battle. So that's a thing I hope they add: A freaking skip button. I like watching my units fight from time to time, I don't wanna have map animations on all the time, but I also don't wanna see every single stab to each generic boring unit.

Actually, PoR (in Japan) come out exactly in the 15th Anniversary (2005)... It would be quite fitting to use a Remake for a double Anniversary (both the Telliues Series and Fire Emblem in General).

I've been hoping for an HD remaster of at least PoR for a while now because I really want to give it a try, but... You know, expenses... I agree that the only changes needed are a new dub for the English version and redone CG cutscenes. Adding a Casual Mode for more timid players wouldn't be a bad inclusion either, even though I personally wouldn't use it (KH got updated camera controls and Reaction Commands with its remaster, so why not this? Maybe programming issues, but not a bad idea.).

I'd personally say Tellius Pros: - I like the Bonus EXP system - Good character designs and concepts in general - Skill system is nice, except we needed more Occult Scrolls - I really like Ashnard and Burger King as villains and I think Greil is my favorite NPC in the franchise. - Shoving and Smiting is surprisingly useful - Oliver, the best and most beautiful Light Mage in the series Tellius Cons: - The voices (they will redo this anyways unless it's a straight up port) - Some really weird localization stuff like character saying Moldy Onions (Though I can see people liking it for the cheesiness I guess) - Bloated cast for RD (I feel Mist gets super shafted in RD for example) - Slow as hell (easily fixed) - PoR is easy (No Lunatic mode in the Non-JP version though not sure if even then that's also super easy) - RD has a really bad plot IMO (not fixable unfortunately) - lol Biorhythm - Change the Laguz system because I can't be bothered to use them since they seem pretty unreliable unless they are a royal or are Reyson - Micaiah, the anti-Oliver

They've got the all-star class cast, three lord-characters (meaning you lose if they die): Guts, Casca, and Griffith. You've got that big huge guy Pippin who'd be the knight. You've got Judeau who'd be the thief, throwing knives and such, Ricket, the little kid archer type you get later at a low level with high growth rates, Corkus could be a cavelier, Gaston voiced by Goku could be a mercenary, and lots more that could be filled in by the less important but still named members of the Band of the Hawk/Falcon.

they never sold for 3 reasons: 1. PoR came out on the gamecube several months before the wii 2. Radiant dawn was released the same day as Mario galaxy. 3. ike is popular because of brawl, which came out a whole year after radiant dawn

I think you were remake issues fix the profiles of mist and muriam.. They had the same profile in radiant dawn.. Also despite mist's Sword fluorite decription im dealing Magical damage.. It only deal physical damage. Ena should have an abilty similar to Ignis that allow her to deal more magic.. Her Magic,stats are high

K so what I want for the Radiant series being given HD port would have to be, and this a big one. Faster combat animates, no matter how good they look taking over a few seconds just gets unbearable. Fuck the map Distortions, large sand maps are not fun! For Dawn better availability for Fiona and Tormod's group Clearing up the map objectives to gain bonus EXP Aside form general balancing which I wouldn't want to get into those are my personal big issues. Edit: Oh that is as long as the games kept dawns skill system and forge since it gave a use to coins and made skill swapping viable while making it so personal skills were desired to be left were they were, taking fewer points.

The Wii U GameCube controller adapter is 100% compatible with the Switch, so whoever is telling you GC VC is impossible is completely full of shit. Even if some games do need the analogue triggers if you were to play on Pro or Joy, alterations can be made, there were a handful of VC games on Wii that had alterations made to enhance the experience. Nintendo being lazy enough to not do it is a different story, it is absolutely possible, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

These ideas of yours sound nice but let's be a bit more realistic here. All I most likely see Nintendo doing is going the lazy route which consist either scenario of: 1). They rerelease both games on the Switch eshop & call it a day. 2). Or the they traverse the most disgusting route by doing what they did with TP HD. Barely edit the game's appearance at all, rerelease it to stores with a limited edition bundled with a new Ike amiibo to pull at our heart strings then bathe in the profits.
