Unfortunately it’s impossible, you can only set some of the parameters to max, otherwise you are facing a 100 unit late game enemy swarm on spawn

if you put box on splitter, the splitter will actually push items in or out of box, so splitter+box+hat combo is like mini distribution center, also splitter doesn't use any power unlike using sorter to push in/out stuff

Hey, TDA! Really appreciate your builds, explanations, and blueprints in this series. You have a couple of blueprints in your collection (Scale Up E, 3824/3600 and Midgame Chems, 3972/3600) that's got a few too many structures in it for yellow science tech level. Are there slightly smaller versions available, by chance? Anything after particle broadband doesn't matter, because that starts purple science and unlimited blueprints. Thank you very much, and hope that sore throat clears up soon!

darkfog can be somehow farmed🤔just surround the base and they'll drop all sorts of things randomly, I've seen someone finishing the game by farming without even leaving the planet

Love that fuel tip! The geothermal plants over the dark fog bases are so worth it too bc unlike normal geothermal bases on the lava planet, they work at 320% efficiency.

Love your channel! Bought this game when it first released played 200 hours and burnt myself out now with this update I have started again. I love the update but your blueprints made the game about a million times more fun thank you so much!

They actually gave the sensor towers a buff that extends the missile range to include stuff near to the planets orbit, not sure if it was necessary to make them even stronger

you havent fought the hive yet.. its unlikely they would make the first encounter hard.. the fact you cant take out that hive and by the time your able to it will be dam strong. plus im guessing there is a hive in each system ALSO building up fleets.. have you been to another system yet? also there are plenty of a difficulty options to change.

The Fog isn't actually in every system, although it does expand.

Your Scale Up builds have proliferators on the output lines going to the ILS. Does that actually do anything?

Assuming you make sure to supply it with proliferation, yes! The game will 'remember' that you proliferated the items, even if you transport them to the other side of the universe.

The default settings for the Dark Fog is aimed at those players who are just starting to play Dyson Sphere program. Since you already have very deep knowledge about the game and the game progression, how about making a play through with max difficulty settings? Also, merry Christmas!

Hmm... You know what might be a neat challenge for a DSP series? One planet challenge. It seems that higher level Dark Fog drops everything you need to complete the game. So technically beating the game without ever leaving your starting planet is possible...

That's.... interesting. Not entirely sure if it's viable due to relatively low amount of resources on the starting planet though. (although you could scale those up as a part of making the challenge more viable)

I don't see a blueprint for Mark 2 and Mark 3 assemblers are, is it missing or did I just miss it somewhere? I don't mind growing my own just didn't know if it was contained in something else generically named and didn't want to double up.

hey i already have a save fill and have full compleet the game, ive follewed you old playthrough and havent played the new update, yet bcs i think if i load into the game i have no chances to setup stuff for defend planets, how did u do it? The update looks cool enough try it out but idk if i wil;l return to the game, the space battle seem kinda funny to me how they did that Edite: ive open the game and updated, they force you to start over so my 190+ hours are gone bcs they force you to start over all the blueprints are gone savefile is gone, well gg game see you never cuz im not going start over.

They do not force you to start over. My old saves are perfectly playable, my blueprints are still there and work. I suspect that what’s happened is your update has saved in a different location on disk.

I'm guessing the signal towers are going to be bumped up in the tech tree requiring purple science. Now that everyone knows how strong they are they'll want them badly but trying to get to purple while holding off the fog will be challenging which I think is what the dev was going for, give them something they'll like for cheap and after they get a taste make them work for it a bit harder.

Nice to see that it isn't all that difficult to deal with the Dark Fog on the default settings. It's just too bad that you can't change the difficulty setting while you're playing if you find that things are a bit *too* easy for your taste. Also, one wonders if the Dark Fog does interstellar invasions.

Hey TDA, love following this walkthrough. Currently at the phase of scaling up to build the mk3 sorters and belts. But i've run into an issue. Your blueprint for the super magnetic rings is over 3.800 buildings and the tech limit doesnt allow that to be placed. How did you manage to stamp it down, or did you build it manually? Groeten uit Enschede :)

Noticed this as well, probably just going to remove some of the buildings from the blueprint and put them down manually myself so as to still not have to construct it entirely from scratch

Sorry about this! The blueprint has since been updated to fit in the current tech limit (by deleting a few of the outer belts that will need to be placed in manually, but that takes only a few seconds)

I think there are some balancing issues...I started a new run, did defeat the base on my home planet and as soon as I expanded on to the second planet, without even attacking the bases there the space hive just randomly kept rising...sometimes 40% at a time until it got up to 100 and they conpletetly destroyed my homeplanet

You most likely set your missile turrets to attack high air and they were attempting to land a new relay base.

Ive not tinkered much with drones but can we set logistics to automatically place them in the battlefield building ready to launch?

pretty much yeah, the analysis base has inputs around it, so if you can find a way to get the drones on a belt, you can just keep putting them into the base, though idk if there's a good way of stopping it from eventually being filled with thousands of drones lmao

@@CrispyMuffin2 haha unlimited drones 🤣🤣 hmm so it should be able to launch them. I'll have to test that tomorrow. I've basically relied on masses of gauss turrets to take my starter planet since the ammo is dirt cheap. Just moved around the planet setting up 2 rows of 5 every so often until I got within range and then set up a load of them and made row after row once I got closer. So curious to try out other methods once I get to planet number 2. Perhaps battlefield bases and drones with signal towers to extend range if that will work, all trial and error. I think if set to 0 spaces now but with a manual middle clicked and filtered one they still fill I think. But I've not tested that. Only noticed it in a couple of videos I've seen but I'm hoping it still fills.

It should be. Remember, this is our jumpstart system - it’s where we learn how to deal with things for the first time. When we start going to the stars - especially the further ones - things will get way more challenging.

Honestly the first few other systems I visited didn't have any Dark Fog in them, so not entirely sure. It may be related to the extent you keep them under control in your base system (as well as the difficultty setting of course!)
