Your sky looks dynamic and I can imagine the clouds sailing across the sky. Lovely. The cake reminds me of a Guernsey cow. Very cute. Thank you for your easygoing style Becky.

Thank you so much for this! I love your comforting advice. I NEEDED permission to express myself loosely. I struggle with crippling myself mentally trying to make everything look “perfect” or as accurate as possible and I am always admiring people who can just render things in their essence bravely.

I just found your channel. I am in love. This is right in line with where I am presently going. Wish I had started when I was as young as you are. LOL. I am 65. I am going to be binge watching your entire list of videos. You mentioned a live Sunday zoom class, how does one get into that class? I ususally work on Sundays.... but on the rare ocassion that I am off I would love to join.

This is so so lovely, and thank you especially for walking us through the process, mentioning the colour mixtures etc- super helpful. And the point about easy decisions can be effective really hit home, it's something I'm consciously adding to my art these days, learning to simplify and stick to a clarity of what I want to portray and be more present with the subject. Comforting and helpful to see how well you've applied it and it truly shows in your delightful work ❤

no, the paper is thick enough to stand many layers of washes.

I would love to see you do some paintings with using very little sketching just using a soft pencil and then painting it with watercolor to shade and make it come alive. I paint like that which is different than this. Have you ever painted using mostly just watercolor for your painting? Or do you always use a marker for everything and just color the watercolor in?
@BeckyCao
@BeckyCao 2 жыл бұрын
In my early years studying drawing and painting in the studio, I always used pencil before painting watercolors. True, it has a soft effect that makes the painting more realistic. I will do that again soon. Thank you for the reminder.
