In “A New Earth”, Eckhart Tolle describes freedom/enlightenment as “non-attachment, non-resistance, non-judgment”. While I have yet to reach the lofty heights of an enlightened being, my on-again/off-again practice of repeating this mantra periodically allows me to get into a delightful and liberating groove, where I feel more at peace and present, with my ego mostly just sitting in the back seat going with the flow (like Einstein’s quote). It’s like being in a meditative state of objective observation while you go about your day to day. You’re not attached to your thoughts, your triggers, etc; and you’re just accepting circumstances as they unfold without having an opinion about every little thing - experiencing everything as though you’re just a pair of eyes. Also, you hear those gentle intuitive prompts more easily. It’s pretty wonderful and freeing, albeit short-lived; and now upon writing this, I think it’s time to put up some post-it notes. 😊 Thank you for an interesting convo. Gonna check out the book. ✨🙏🏼

I can speak to this military/intuition stuff… I worked “outside the wire” in a few of these bad places overseas and deal with some survivor’s guilt as a piece of my whole “suite” of wonderful PTSD stuff… I had our group actually listen to my gut feeling and we diverted from the planned route one day. We mentioned the gut feeling later to there, but a crew still decided to take that planned route later on. Two dead, two injured badly was the result.

The practice of Awe moves you beyond the ego narrative and takes your breath away while ironically providing everything that meditation does and far more. Mindfulness practices are still more often than not ego based and performative whereas letting go and embracing awe and wonder has the same benefits as meditating for years which most people will never do. Anyone, anywhere can experience awe and the ego dissolution that comes naturally. No need to involve mind gymnastics or Jedi mind tricks. And regularly experiencing awe accelerates the ability to truly meditate

I love watching the over-educated discover that life is mysterious. Light dawns on marble head. Welcome to the real world. It is good to see that one can rise above higher education and begin their spiritual journey DESPITE their education. You have begun the process of "unlearning".

@johnunderwood9575 That sentence was a shortening of, "Would you mind giving us all of the answers?" Because your comment was arrogant.
@johnunderwood95752 ай бұрын
@@jtcrook32 Actually, I could not give you all the answers. Even if I had them, you are not ready to hear them. So it would be an exercise in futility.
@johnunderwood95752 ай бұрын
@@jtcrook32 My "comment", by the way, was meant to illustrate a point. The point being that several generations ago, if you entered an institution of higher learning, the first four years of you're experience would not include electives. The reason for this is simple. The first four years were for you to learn how to think. Then and only then were you ready to make an intelligent decision as to you're chosen profession. Wisdom comes at a price. It is hard enough to achieve without having to "unlearn" what you think you know, before proceeding with you're journey to "knowing". The approach I used above, is "satire". Sometimes humor can successfully pierce the veil of ignorance, when logic alone fails.

As a chiropractor I have been trying to find a technique to give patients with anxiety and physical manifestation of hyper-neural-motor activation a tool on how to turn off the sympathetic nervous system. I've been suggesting meditation but the way you are talking about PTSD and the results of sky breathing meditation, this may work better and as protocol patients could follow. I would love to see a study of resting trap tension before and after this breath technique. Good God lets get these people off the meds!!!

INTUITION (L. intueri, ‘to look at or into’). I regard intuition as a basic psychological function (q.v.). It is the function that mediates perceptions in an unconscious way. Everything, whether outer or inner objects or their relationships, can be the focus of this perception. The peculiarity of intuition is that it is neither sense perception, nor feeling, nor intellectual inference, although it may also appear in these forms. In intuition a content presents itself whole and complete, without our being able to explain or discover how this content came into existence. Intuition is a kind of instinctive apprehension, no matter of what contents. Like sensation (q.v.), it is an irrational (q.v.) function of perception. As with sensation, its contents have the character of being “given,” in contrast to the “derived” or “produced” character of thinking and feeling (qq.v.) contents. Intuitive knowledge possesses an intrinsic certainty and conviction, which enabled Spinoza (and Bergson) to uphold the scientia intuitiva as the highest form of knowledge. Intuition shares this quality with sensation (q.v.), whose certainty rests on its physical foundation. The certainty of intuition rests equally on a definite state of psychic “alertness” of whose origin the subject is unconscious.

I have read the book yoga Vashisth recently and can perhaps explain in a simpler way. The takeaways from it. The Hindi translation is much more original compared to the one Emma has read. I have the English translation as well but it sounds very different from the Hindi. Best is to read in Sanskrit. The book is a constant discussion on consciousness. I have sent you a mail and maybe you can consider having a conversation with me

I tried watching this video 4 different times and each time I you asked what she was talking about she changed the subject and went off on another tangent. Finally I gave up. Either I missed it or she just refused to tell you. Either way, I am frustrated. Love you and perhaps if I had the breathing technique she teased for 2 hours i would be more calm.

The fact that she didn't give the breathing technique is suspect. She kept avoiding the question and said you need to be taught by a teacher. Which she said she was a teacher of and had taught people. While also slightly condemning materialism then recommends a Zoom class that is no doubt a paid class. Interesting, in a negative way. Not saying this was her intent but - she used the same template as a salesman to sell woo-woo to dopes or desperate peoples. Unless I missed the actual breath work? What did you think of this @THIRDEYEDROPS? Not goading to burn a bridge but it's interesting.

Human = constructed to live in a universe not just New York. " There is no thing in the desert and no " etc etc. cool cast. Also EMF's can breathe life into the memory structures of trauma that have been resolved previously by standard medical etc practice. This happens in such a way as to be, psychologically, indescribably painful. This disjointed version of the original event and subsequent trauma is like a new event with no cause . I imagine this can make treatment for PTSD CPTSD extremely extremely unnecessarily difficult. Please don't wear tinfoil a Faraday cage is better., allegedly :)
