Such a powerful and beautiful talk..."I've allowed myself to live this small life..." Now that is a call for expansion. Let's go midlifers...there is work to do! I'm answering the call of the rebel!!

This is a brilliant talk, and I think it holds value for everyone, not just mid-life women. We should all feel empowered to make, and eat, the damn soup!

At a 59 yo man, I'm still going through my mid-life crisis. I know exactly what I need to do, but my self-confidence problem has me bolted to the floor and I can't move. Some of this is due to trauma, but I'd like to be strong enough to overcome that.

30 here and entering a raging crisis I never went through in adolescence. It's incredibly painful

I'm sorry for al the pain you're experiencing😔 I believe there is no straight timeline for the growth and expansion we're called (sometimes pushed) towards.

I'm 28 and having a 1/3 life crisis so to say, it's being very good to me. Imma start taking free will very seriously and doing things that I actually like and not things that are expected from me

if you can't listen to her atitutde same as I couldn't I ask for a summery and here it is : - (00:03) Introduces the concept of adolescence as a rebellious life stage and compares it to a midlife reawakening of the same rebellious energy. - (01:32) Highlights teenage rebellion as pushing boundaries, not for rebellion’s sake, but in search of authenticity-a process mirrored decades later in midlife. - (02:17) Positions the “rebel archetype” as a valuable force of change and evolution, not only in adolescence but again during midlife transitions. - (03:10) Shares a story of a woman who finally cooks what she wants-“the damn soup”-symbolizing reclaiming personal choices and identity in midlife. - (04:03) Emphasizes that midlife rebellion challenges cultural, familial, and societal conditioning, leading to a second individuation and a renewed sense of self. - (05:44) Notes the unique pressures of midlife-family roles, financial worries, care responsibilities-compounded by feeling invisible and undervalued in a youth-focused culture. - (07:20) Describes the return of the rebel archetype in midlife as a beacon guiding self-acceptance, authenticity, and the courage to challenge outdated life choices. - (08:57) Argues that midlife rebellion is fueled by courage, curiosity, and the urgency of mortality, prompting alignment with inner truth and new directions. - (09:54) Suggests that embracing this midlife rebel energy breaks chains of conformity, opening paths toward self-leadership, social justice, and generational change.
