I’m so excited for The Power of the Doctor! Loved your reaction to the trailer as well! This looks fantastic and yes, I get the general worry from pretty much everyone, myself included, that there may be too much stuff here to try and cram into 90 minutes but hopefully they can pull it off and give Jodie the send off she deserves! I can’t wait for this episode on 23rd October! It’s (hopefully) going to be so so good! 😆🙌🏻

I really hope Jodie gets a proper sendoff with this one!

@@ReelMisfits I hope the sendoff is amazing because Jodie was so good as The Doctor but the story telling was mediocre.

Last night in the UK I watched Power of the Doctor and absolutely loved it. It celebrated the BBC Centenary very well Hope you Americans love it as much as I have. All I will say is tons of surprises for fans new and old. Enjoy!

That scene with (I'm assuming UNIT headquarters?) exploding was amazing! Although you'd think if the BBC is spending so much on this they'd advertise it more. Also, good to have you back! Hope you've been doing well!

@@ReelMisfits Hi, I am from Britain, and I have been watching many KZbinrs react to this trailer and nearly everyone has said the same as you, wondering if there is too much in it. Well, that is my worry too. However I can confirm we will be getting a 90 minute special here, and I am not talking 90 American minutes, where commercials are included, this is the BBC so a full 90 minutes of Doctor Who material. A sort of movie. Hopefully Chris Chibnall has improved his writing to give us an epic, to celebrate not only Jodie's last episode, but also 100 years of the BBC?

If you play 1:00 very slowly and look closely in the laser beam scene, there's two Tardis! Oooh lalaaaa. ✨ This is certainly going to be interesting, can't believe it's so soon too! Jodie was a great doctor, it's just a shame the writing let her down massively, it'll be sad to see her go!

I'll be sorry to see Jodie go; she is honestly the first Doctor where companions talk about how wonderful the Doctor is, and I say "yeah, I can see that". I think it's that she's emotionally available in ways that the other Doctors generally haven't been; even when the Doctors open up they're off in their own little strange worlds. Jodie I can relate to. Not interested in the Master though; he's basically a less smart and less competent version of the Doctor. His plots generally fail because he's simply not as challenging as he thinks he is. Now Missy was all right; more Missy please. I think it's time we had a serious talk though, about how you haven't watched enough "Star Trek". That's like a Vitamin D deficiency for nerds, and I don't want you to get nerd-rickets. HOWEVER, the "Strange New Worlds" series is delightful, and you might get into it. It's the adventures of the guy who was captain of the Enterprise just before Kirk, and he's great. The crew's pretty magnificent too, so it's not just about the captain. And -- wheeling back around to "Doctor Who" -- by way of its structure, SNW can do things that "Doctor Who" cannot, and it makes a difference in viewing experience. Most episodes of "Doctor Who" have the problem that the main characters are barely changed (if at all) by the events of the episode. SNW, by contrast, will tell whatever threat-of-the-week story they want, but they also have a layer where one or more characters are impacted in a way that forces them to go through a little bit of growth. I put it to you that viewers respond to character growth more than they do whatever sci-fi shenanigans are going on, and that's somewhere "Doctor Who" doesn't go so much.

I also wasn't thrilled to see This Master returning. I just don't want this to be a chaotic mess. I love Jodie and I want her to have at least a solid sendoff. I love the new Star Trek movies. I just haven't been able to get into the series though. I agree, character growth is incredibly important. Great, now I have to get another streaming service. Lol

Very glad it's finally over, I like Jodie but the writing was so terrible that it gave her nothing to do. What a waste.
