This video brought me to tears. My father, Arthur Ashford, one of the Precisions, would have been so proud to know that his music is living on in young people. I know he's looking down smiling, but I just can't stop crying!!! Thank you for this! My heart is full....

these young kids good job done but type in Wigan casino northern soul and watch the real dancers from the 70's who are now in their 60's

There were no mobile phone divas there and any photos had red eye lol everyone wants to be a Star now. You can tell some go to dance lessons the moves dont flow. The kids should move with the times not try and get into something retro. Too many peacocks dancing to played out oldies.

I know this is a Northern Soul sound but for me it’s more Motown. Great tune though 💃🕺
@entertained90653 жыл бұрын
Of course it's Motown, Philadelphia Sound, etc.... ship loads of young Brits would arrive on American shores and literally buy boxes and boxes that those big recording studios either didn't release and rejected or judged it unworthy. The Brits took them back to the UK and sold thousands of these RB/Soul sound recordings that the "suits" were too dumb and stupid to realize there was a huge market for. Nothing has ever changed in the recording business, that is why I always tell everyone to only buy self made or small studio releases. Most of the popular sh?t on the radio is sometimes not half as good as what most independent artists are creating. Remember that the Beatles were rejected by every major label... when they had enough money they bought their own studio and recorded what no one else would have allowed... the rest is history.
