This movie raped the Predator lore,the same way,Alien:Covenant raped the Alien mythos. *WARNING SPOILER ALERT* In all the other movies and comics/books,it is established,that the Predators are a society of hunters.They go from planet to planet,look for the most dangerous species, that lives there and then hunt it for sport and honour.The more dangerous their prey is,the more honour and prestige they get from their clan.They don't kill unarmed or sick ''prey'',because that would have been ''dishonourable''.In the first movie,the Predator doesn't attack the captured guerilla lady,until she grabs Bennet's gun.In the second movie,the Predator doesn't kill the pregnant woman in the subway and in AvP,the Predator ignores Weyland,after scanning him and seeing that he's sick(his body is full of tumours),only after he attacks him,the Predator kills him.They also show respect to ''prey'' that fights well.In the second movie,the eldar Predator,let's Danny Glover live and even gives him an antique pistol,as a gift,because he killed the other Predator in a fair fight. Here,they tell us,that the Predators hunt,in order to upgrade themselfs with the DNA of their prey and become more powerful.Their final goal,is to invade earth and there's a renegade faction among them,who is on the human side and made this armored suit,as a gifr for us,to fight back. WTF?!

Predator 4 is such a huge waste of potential. It started off well but when the first Predator is killed by the CG abomination it went downhill. Not helped by junk science and new lore that overcomplicates and destroys everything that made the Predators work. Shane Black clearly did not know what he wanted to do with this movie. He made literal cinematic autism. I'm autistic and this movie just felt like an insult. By the way Predator 2 is woefully underrated and is nowhere near as bad as people say it is. It and even Predators are a hell of a lot better than this mediocre dreck.

Damn it. I’m old enough to have seen the original movie in theaters. What set the tone was these heavy weight, trained killers hitting the ground, spitting lead, and then quickly realizing they were outclassed by a bigger and badder “something.” There were jokes. Sure. It’s Ahnold after al. But it was always a heavy duty action movie at heart. Thanks for the review!

They didn't need to add a kid in the movie this kid annoyed the hell out of me. I think it's best to treat these movies after the first film like the sequels to the Jurassic Park; none of them will ever be as good as the original and the main concept of the movie is one of those movies that was probably best as a one and done deal that would probably never work more than once. I saw The Predator for free and I'm glad I didn't pay anything for the ticket.

I didn't have the movie and I was entertained by it, however I never really loved any of these.movies.for.there stories.or.characters. I love the Predator movies for having great action, blood,.gore, and good/decent filmmaking. This movie delivered at least on that level and I thought it was.decent. I'm not telling you how to love or like a.movie just based on the original vs.the sequels. I just don't get.that much out of the sequels other than I said before in the past sentence. Oh and another thing I don't have nostalgia for any of these movies.

Ironically, my favorite Predator comes from AVP Requiem. I know it gets a lot of hate but I looked into it. It's honestly a wonder it got made. From the townsfolk to the blueballing from Fox, essentially it was killed before it was even born. At least we got Wolf. Speaking of which, how badass would it have been to see Wolf come down to Earth and kick the Fugitive's ass WITHOUT being an upgrade or upgraded. As for favorite film it's Predator 2... Behind Predator 1 obviously.

I think honestly twists in general depend on the person. I for example actually like that mandarin twist. SPOILER FOR IRON MAN 3(this is for those that haven’t seen it). The fact that the person we believe is the mandarin just turns out to be just an actor I feel works as strategy basis. Because well every government would be more focused on him while the real one does his thing behind the scenes. Plus the Mandarin being a creature of magic going against an enemy who’s movies have primarily been in the world of science I felt would’ve been too much of a branching from the original twos tone and wouldn’t have fit in the iron man solo films.

When I saw it yesterday, I let my hype get the best of me so I ignored the problems. After thinking about it, the movie makes no sense. Comparing it with Alien: Covenant, I'd go with The Predator cause at least they didn't fuck it like Scott did. They also killed the classic Predator way too early and quickly. My brother said, "Oh it's to show off how strong this new predator is." which is dumb because the movie "Predators" had a way more superior predator fight scene. My favorite film in the franchise is Predator 2. I liked all the new tech they introduced and the Predator was a badass.
