Side story, my great uncle was a politicians in the Philippines after ww2, he died in a plane crash with the Philippines president in 1957. While in school for aviation I decided to look into the crash since there have been conspiracy theories for decades about a bomb being aboard the plane. Two things became immediately obvious when look at the details of the investigation. 1. The wreckage planes which exploded from the inside look very different from those which crashed into mountains. 2. That accidents like that happened on a terrifyingly frequent basis back in the 40’s and 50’s.
