I've lived my whole life as a fraud. Coming from the poor neighborhood and home, with drug addiction, alcohol addiction, abuse in every form that outlined my family and childhood, shame became the only thing recognizable--it was the only "friend" that knew me. I have let performance destroy my life, many chances and opportunities, and relationship after relationship, trying to prove I'm worth it, enough in some way, belong in some way. Last Tuesday evening, I contemplated hanging myself. Everything was mapped out. I couldn't decide though (even in that, with lack of value) what I would wear making my final exit. Crying my eyes out, I fell asleep and spent the next few days in a blur to myself, but receiving message after confirming message about this very topic. Today...by the grace, mercy and love of Christ, I'm alive.

EMMA and DJA oh em gee. Hallelujah!!! Im so happy you’re still here with us. Im so happy God used this sermon to speak to you! God is with you and he understands everything you’re going through. Jesus was from a place called Nazareth. It was an unpopular, condemned, rejected & lowly place, to the point that when someone in the bible named Nathaniel even said “can anything good come from Nazareth?” & even in your situation, your whole life you’ve probably heard “can anything good come from a poor, drug/addicted home?” The answer is yes. If Jesus could come from Nazareth, then God’s goodness can come out of any unfortunate place. You can come from that background and still be redeemed. God isn’t finished with you! Your testimony is unraveling 🙏🏾🙏🏾💕💕💕

The pressure to perform can come from us not trusting God's power in our lives but doing everything in our own strength in order to get human approval. I have ended up here so many times and the truth is, if we are always performing for the world, we will always fall short and feel you are not doing enough, but when we let Christ use us as he wants, we feel no pressure and have that peace that he is still working through us even when we cannot see. It's so freeing to stop trying to be noticed and to let God do it his way.

30. Know that when you are born, all family and relatives’ blessings and curses from Adam down hang above you. But when you reach the age of consciousness, not the sorcerers but your first actions determine your choice. And the solution is to return first to God through his prophet according to 2 Chronicles 20:20. Seek Salvation first. And Salvation is only through the living prophet of your time. Not an angel, not a book called Bible or Quran. Not a prophet called Moses, Jesus of Nazareth or Mahomet. But the words of a living man amongst you. And you, whatever difficulties and sufferings that you are going through, first, know that the person to blame for all this is yourself. And in search for a solution, you shall not go to just any prophet and not just anyone should lay his hands on you. You shall never trade your Salvation for an ephemeral relief from Satan in a Catholic, Protestant, evangelical or Branhamist church. In Genesis 50, Joseph asked that his bones should go up from Egypt with Prophet Moses. And you, if you are a chosen one, you must not die before you accept Kacou Philippe, the living prophet of your time.

@@yaobleestelle2513 i care for you Brother. But what you are doing by saying this is false teaching. One of the thing you Said that you have to go to this special prophet that is false. It stand in the bible that you may all prophesy. Exsampel 1 cor 14 vers 5 and 31. And false what you said about salvation. That it is this special prophet, No that is so wrong teaching. The only way to salvation is true jesus christ the son of god. Trust in him and him alone. Repent from your sins( that means to turn away from your old ways) and believe in him. John 14:6. Have a blessed day and seek gods face

@@yaobleestelle2513, Please may I ask you to watch a KZbin video I just watched called HOW AMERICA DESTROYED THE GOSPEL which came out September 19, 2015. I do not know of this Kacoa Phillipe but there is only one name under heaven that we are saved. Jesus Christ became our sacrifice on the cross and rose 3 days later. His Blood only cleanses us from sin so we do not go to the lake of Fire later with Satan, his devils, and sinners. Jesus is the only Son of the True God and I follow Him and no other and so should you. there are many warnings in the New Testament warning against False Prophets and I suggest that you for your eternal spirit's sake repent of following this False Prophet or be like one of those who shall go into the lake of fire.

I think God is working through these posts, because I have been praying for an answer to my problems lately, and I now have my answer. God is good, and he is helping me through these troubling years, and this is such a simple answer, and for my human mind, it has been so hard to understand. I have nothing to prove, I so not need to be approved by anyone, but through God. Thank you for this sermon

This resonates with me in every way. I've always lived my life feeling like a fraud, that I have to proof to people that I'm good, never felt I was good enough. Tried to act like I don't care about peoples' opinion of me but deep down in my heart I'm dying for someone to see the good in me, even when someone does I find it hard believing it cause I don't feel it myself, telling myself I'm not good enough, always trying to do things I don't even wasn't to do just because I want someone to say something good about me... Listening to this sermon just gets to my core self, it's like God is talking to me himself... Telling me I am enough, I just need to focus myself on him alone... Thank you Pastor Steven🤧... I received Christ about 6 months ago and I've been struggling with the pressure to perform as a Christian in all areas of my life, how people will perceive what I do and mostly how my Lord is viewing my everyday actions, this sermon allowed me to change my perspective a little to make sure I only focus on being obedient and working for him, I'd love to hear a sermon on the challenges of your first steps after accepting Christ, it's so hard, usually hear sermons convincing people to accept him or for people that have been walking with him for a long time, something for your first 6 months would be of tremendous help; thanks Elevation Team and Pastor Steven for having the option to watch online, I never post comments on youtube but for this one I had to. Pastor Steven, I know this is contrary to what you preached because it's looking at performance but know that if this vid doesn't get as much likes it did impact someone's life, there you have it! Grateful, in tears and sane. This definitively was a word for sanity. And much more of love. It always feels like God is speaking directly to me. As a leader in a small church setting workers are few, so it's natural to feel underappreciated and overworked. There's been times when I am leading worship to a small crowd by myself, singing through pain/sickness to make sure the congregation can praise. I don't get paid to do it & I don't care if I do. The key is: "I do it for You!", as Pastor said. I never speak out because I don't want people to say I am boastful or a show off. I've been struggling, but God has a way of getting a word you so desperately need right to your heart. Lately, I've had a stigma toward social media (IG in particular), but Pastor Furtick taught that those are just tools we should use for the Kingdom and not for clout. I also want to encourage all my brothers & sisters that work for God and the Kingdom to remember God sees all your hard work, even if no one notices or thanks you. There's more to say, but I'll conclude with these words from Jesus Himself. "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27 Thank you God, Pastor Furtick, the media team and all workers of the church for your service to our Father. May He bless you all abundantly!

I need to hear God’s word every day. I always hear what I need to hear when I ask for God’s guidance. God spoke through you so I would hear this message. My life is a mess when I’m trying to run it. I need God’s guidance. I need Jesus to lead the way in everything, every part of my life. 💗 Thank you.

This word was confirmation for me. Social media has been my downfall and my worst influence and distraction from walking with God. I have been struggling to let it go but I think that it is worth it. Walking and growing with God and trying to win HIS approval, beats chasing the worlds approval any day. After all, his opinion is what’s going to matter in the end when we leave this earth. Thank you for this message! You don’t know how much this just put my mind and heart at ease.

If makes me feel pressured it is not coming from God but the world. God don't work like the world.Hes ways are higher and Hes thoughts are higher.
