These episodes of the price is right are great. It takes me back to my childhood days. I thought that Catherine was very cute. I wonder what she looks like today. It's something when there was not a car for a prize in either show case. Now most of the showcases have a car and trip in them. Still is a great game show today 😄. Thanks 👍.

Bob's attire around that time was almost similar to what he wore on the first show, back on September 4th, 1972.

One month later, the "double showcase win" rule was adopted. If you was within $99 off the actual price of that showcase upon winning, you also get the other too. Since September 1998, the rule was expanded to the current $250.

Interesting to see Anitra and Janice switched in the first pricing game.

Interesting that this episode has the black asterisks on the Showcase podiums but still no Double Showcase rule yet (it would be safe to assume the asterisks made their first appearance on March 11 which was taped on the same day as March 12). There goes the theory of having the asterisks happen at the same time as the Double Showcase rule. Not to mention that in Temptation as of this episode, contestants were still not allowed to change their guesses after seeing all the gifts.

The rule of changing any numbers in Temptation wasn't in effect yet, since this was a relatively new game at the time.

Players liked to keep the price in tact anyway even with the rule change

Wow, $1100 for that game table, that might be the 1st 4-digit prize in Most Expensive, daytime at least.

Temptation sound effect error. The 3rd number bell instead of buzzer, 4th number buzzer instead of bell.

film projectors were all the rage back then. Portable video camcorders were not around en masse until around 1980 or so.
