These decisions don't come lightly, usually it is a joint decision between executive producers and CBS, had she been pulled off things could have gone very dramatic, the vibe of the show would go down really quickly for the rest of the taping, NOT something producers want to see - they want to see cheerful people, energy, excitement - she got caught she got her dose of humiliation - had she not been, she would have been disqualified later by CBS compliance / production. The show is edited and reviewed, there are lots of people in the making of the show, director alongside executive producers. Once you pick a ball and pull up you are supposed to continue, and not put it back down - The first person to even notice this would be the director, who would then notify the host through his earpiece, but yeah - she lost anyway. Karma I guess - She said she was a natural, hmmm, does she always pick the wrong balls ? :P

I’d say the ability to cheat on any given game is only possible if the game creators haven’t properly thought out all the ways one can cheat. So if someone cheats during a game I think it’s appropriate to allow it and for the creators to take it as a lesson of what to tweak for the next time. This way no embarrassment occurs during the game, especially if the contestant was honestly not trying to cheat but had serendipitously found leverage in their favor. It’s kinda like how Pop Warner came up with trick plays in football that helped him win games, though every subsequent game those tricks would become illegal moves, once the rules guys caught wind of the tricks.

Having only one strike in there is also less safe from a cheating perspective. If the contestant is allowed to touch the same strike multiple times, they could theoretically do something to the ball to mark it to be easier to identify without looking. Since we're going with a baseball theme, some sticky substance like lotion that you could palm onto the ball so it's easier to feel out.

But only the exec producer (which Drew is NOT, unlike with Bob Barker back when he hosted) has the authority to DQ her if the situation calls for it. In this case it was basically a "no harm, no foul" since she lost anyway.

I wouldn't think so; if you got there and up on stage legitimately (meaning that you were not an employee of CBS or one of its stations, and that you had not been there or on any other game show within a specified timeframe [as how I understand it]), then you shouldn't be disqualified simply for not playing a game within its specified rules. If you had, however, not legitimately gotten to that point, then yes, even the Row prize can be withheld from you.

This is possibly the most luck-based game on the show. Most other games you are guaranteed to win if you know the exact amount, but with this, you can easily draw 3 strikes before even seeing all the numbers. Even when I was a kid it didn't seem very fair.

For example, it's possible to lose Hole in One even if you play it perfectly, but that last line is so close (and you get a second putt) that it would be pretty hard to miss if you got there. So I consider that a mostly fair game, even though technically it is not. Then there's Plinko, which doesn't even really have a win condition . . .

That would require a stop tape order to do the following: 1.Have security remove the cheating contestant from the property. 2.Take down the game set and replace it on the fly with another game(probably Switch?, Pick a Number, or another quick setup game) 3.Cut the one-bid and pricing game segment with the cheating contestant. 4.Shoot the disclaimer segment explaining why a contestant mysteriously disappeared from contestants' row. Taping would resume with a call down of a new contestant from the list of alternates and the rest of the show would continue as normal.

I would also surmise that to cost 97k it is pretty well equipped... somewhere in the Platinum trim range? The point, though, is that this is an XLT 4x2 with the base engine...XLT is decently equipped, but not too fancy. Affordable trucks (and cars in general) are unfortunately disappearing

Probably pretty low. If you guess poorly (which for at least one position is usually hard to actually do) you can need up to 15 "good" pulls to win opposed to just three strikes. The odds are pretty decent with just the three alone that they'll strike out if they don't just guess the numbers right quickly enough.
