Well the opportunist sucks at direct confrontation. They only do things if it’s easy remember. There are voices that would be much better at fighting like Mr I wanna have a good fight stubborn or even the cold. As for the player our doubts cause her to become stronger and overpower us in the routes we lose. For example her suddenly having a blade if we believe we does and her shanking us with it.

He's not like Hero, who wears his heart on his sleeve for all to see, sure, but the affection is there and it is true nonetheless. Cold's loyalty is entirely to the Decider. ... Unless, of course, you get the ending where the voices hate you. Not that deep inside, Cold is also an extremely resentful individual, and so he loves to see his fellow voices giving the Decider shit in that ending, because you essentially betrayed him and he takes that very personally.

Both are exceptional, in the most literal meaning of the term, heavy hitters that are unique and distinct even by the standards of chapters in StP.

Considering how tall the "Slayer" is in this route, I have to wonder if he's that tall in every other route. Which, by extension, makes me wonder how he scales relative to some of the taller princesses; adversary, tower, and fury in particular as examples.

I don't think it really matters, and he only appears that way here because she's sitting. If anything the vessels' perspectives show how different he looks in certain routes: In Tower, he's obviously smaller; in Adversary he looks more muscular in addition to being equal level like in most other chapters; in Wraith he legs look longer from both viewpoints so he's probably the tallest in that one 😂; in Wounded Wild, he looks normal.
