I think a lot of shows suffer from trying to fill up 40 episodes when they perhaps only have 30 episodes worth of story. The producers and writers should be more honest and only film the episodes required to cover the story.

When you are watching drama and after one month digging in your memories your impressions about it🤔. I liked the pace, acting, Zhang Linghe was adorable, I was skipping, it should be shorter, but it is nice entertaining drama with happy ending. Thank you!

New to your channel! Love this review! I also stopped watching by honestly episode 15 or so. I honestly wish they dragged out second chance romance a little longer (the whole I don’t like you but I know you because I’ve lived with you for 20+ years). Because by after episode five, it was just another regular C drama romance. and yeah I’m not a fan of ZhangLingHe being a simp. I thought everyone felt one dimensional, except for the princess who had all of the thought put into her personality and no one had put any thought into anyone else

This is not as good as The Double. It is watchable BUT the Su Rong Qing character was such a waste. The final death scene was especially bad - the princess was going to die with Su by rushing in to save him in the fire? Also, a big deal was made of the pregnancy but no sight of the child, even after 3 years and the emperor abdicated. The ML often acts like a woman in the presence of the princess, a little off putting there. Another point is that according to Physics (Heisenberg uncertainty principle), you cannot have 2 persons occupy the same space, so the appearance of the young ML and FL can be explained BECAUSE they died. However, Su Rong Qing did not die, so the fact that he could come back to his youth is not right. Also, the princess said Su was a snake in several occasions, but she trusted everything he told her after they fell off the cliff - that is weird.

The death scene of the second ML was almost comical in that your average person would’ve probably died within a minute but he just keeps monologging for how long? five minutes? Longest speech ever for someone who is dying, lol

I only watched the drama till episode 30 that's maybe why I'm giving it a 10/10 for right now and the pacing is amazing to be honest Surong wanted both of them to be together live happy life but the princess kinda led him on to be honest He also felt guilt for killing her Than you the noble families he has to defend them because his family is involved and he has to stop the crown prince from ascending because he is the one that orders the killing of his family Yet despite that he wants to be with the Fml but he doesn't want to lose his family like last time while trying to please her

The male lead character ruins the whole show, being a SIMP to that degree makes him intolerable for any man watching.
