Hi smith family pastures thank you for another great video,l take that the nap weed isn’t toxic to the cattle ,plenty of grass and clover in the mix , Odd the cattle don’t seek shade in the heat of the day ,love the close knit cooperation happening with your farming .Cheers

Thanks Pat! I have not seen any negative side effects of the knapweed or read of anything yet. I have read it is a good source of protein ranging from 10% - 20%. The cattle do not prefer it but if you tighten them up they will readily eat it and seem to do well on it. They do have some grass and clover in the mix but I would guess the paddocks they’ve been on are 80% or more knapweed. Cheers
