@creepy It’s not even just the community, it’s the fact that the game actively encourages griefing and bullying. Why does everyone in the server need to know I’m doing prep for diamond casino heist? There’s nothing for them to gain from it, it just makes me an easy target. Don’t even get me started on the office missions, I couldn’t even get my one warehouse started because the truck I needed to steal would get blown up by a guy in a flying car every time. They should really just allow all missions to be done in solo or friend lobbies, and all missions should be 2 people requires instead of 4.

Hear, hear. I started GTA Online last November (didn't have a PlayStation till Semptember). I signed in for the very first time. No money, no weapons and no car. before I could even move, I got shot by the same person five times before I could take a step and before the game decided to tell me how to ghost a player. I very nearly didn't sign in a second time but changed my mind. Within a month, I was considering quitting within a month because I knew I'd never be able to catch up with anyone else. I don't mind a challenge, really. I like the challenge to be possible. Eventually, I got the CEO business, started grinding, bought an apartment, still haven't coompleted the second heist because all the teams I got were useless (including me), bought ALL the other businesses... stopped supplying the businesses because they're just wasting my money with missions I can't complete alone and I don't trust any other player after being shot by the few I've helped. Now I force a solo session, to grind CEO stuff over and over to complete a project that I decided to do for myself and the rest of the "online community" I can completely ignore. I don't do races, heists, contact missions... or ANY of the new stuff that may or may not come out in the future. I just want the specific cars that I decided to buy months ago and to carpet my office in money then I'll probably be out of the game forever. I have this thing where I can't stop the project until it's complete but I won't recommend the game to my friends. Rockstar are great at single player games. they're online games... suck! Tl:DR... If the majority of your customers are forcing solo sessions in a multiplayer game, you need to stop pissing them off!

None of them help when I'm trying to sell product in a post-op or taskmaster, delivering a van to my warehouse or trying to sell a car. Nope. I'm not ever going to trust players enough to go into a populated session. Maybe I'm weird... If I spend money (even game currency) on a car, I want to be able to drive it. I have some pretty nice cars. What's the point in a 60 car garage if I can't play with the contents?

@@andredavis7494 Thanks for the offer. I've not actually played the game since last Summer (I got *almost* all of the cars that I wanted). Playing alone all the time got really boring. I popped in a couple of weeks ago just to see if I could get a few good races but multilayer racers are pointless. Most people think that the only way to win is to make sure their opponents get knocked out of the race. in most of the races that I started I actually saw other players getting out of their vehicles just so that they could shoot at everyone as they passed by completely ruining the fun of the race itself. I remember spending two hours helping a player sell all of his stock from every one of his MC business holdings only to have him shoot me in the head and leave the session when he was done. When I was at level 60, I was enrolled into a two person crew and it was fun until he kicked me out for asking too many questions. His way of thinking was that he wasn't going to "waste time typing when I could just google the answers." I always think that the more experienced members of a team should be willing to help newer players learn the correct way and not force them to learn bad habits off the streets. The problem with being part of a smaller team is time, of course. What do you do when the rest of your team are sleeping because you're eight hours ahead or behind? In most online games, you can join a random team. In GTA, you're going to be attacked by people using homing missiles that rarely miss or even kicked out of a session because someone else thinks you MIGHT become a threat to them. I've had people telling me that it's not Rockstar's fault, it's the players. I think it's the fault of both. Rockstar created the ability for griefers to thrive with impunity and only make changes that affects their profit margin, the griefers just take advantage of it.

Honestly at this point it's just really depressing knowing that we'll more then likely never get another single player DLC experience like ballad of Gay Tony or the legendary red dead undead nightmare. I loved those two single player expansions, they both added new and exciting things to the game. Those two single player expansions are fucking legendary in my eyes. I remember hunting down bigfoots and the four horses of the apocalypse in undead nightmare. Taking down squads of cops with the explosive AA12 before jumping off a building and parachuting down in gay Tony. Blowing zombies to bits with the blunderbuss and explosive rifle while saving towns from the hordes of the undead. Rocking a pimped out golden Uzi with an entirely new protagonist. Those two expansions are some of my favorite gaming experiences of the last generation, I loved those and yet we more then likely will never see something like them from Rockstar

Speaking of the missions, they literally took out 9 online missions such as Coveted, Potshot, Crystal Clearout II, Crystal Clearout III and some others. Not to mention they got rid of crate drops, and those trucks that gave you 5k everytime you stole from them. They took out the replay mission option for no reason and not to mention you were allowed to bet 10k in a deathmatch or race and they took that out and made it only 1k. What a joke

Coming from someone who recently got back into GTA Online, it's not SO bad, I think they're giving out money for playing every month because I got 500K for playing in April. But a lot of the points raised in this video are true. I remember grinding the mission mentioned until they eventually nerfed the money you got from it. Just about every time there's a good find for money they'll nerf it to make it take longer and be more tedious. If they want me paying them any more money they need to fix a LOT of shit. For starters, I've been having load issues out the wazoo. There are times when I'll be stuck on a loading screen and have to shut the game down to fix it and it happens a lot, mostly after finishing jobs. Nothing is more frustrating than wanting to get back into it and having the game throw up a speed bump. They need to give lobbies the option to vote to start and override the host. Time and time again I've seen a host sit there waiting to get a few more people to join when they already have a dozen and that causes people to leave and in turn the host waits longer to get a full lobby. On top of that there's an issue where the game won't let you join a lobby, but it shows you as joining and the game won't be able to start while this is happening. You can't even kick them in this state. It's led to SO many lobbies where we have enough to start, but because of this issue, people leave in droves and I have to go find a new lobby. (Or sometimes find the load issue again.) Offer more incentive to be a good player. I honestly get infuriated seeing the "Here's $2000 for being a good sport!" thing pop up on my screen. It's insulting and dumb. It offers no real incentive to be a 'good sport' and instead everyone just goes about being a major asshole and kills you for no reason except shits and giggles. In addition to this, allow us to spawn miles away from someone if they kill us. Yes passive mode is there but I shouldn't have to enter a state where I can't use guns or participate in lobby events because someone feels like being a bullying little shit. It's dumb as hell to have someone gun you down and then you spawn like a block or two away and they can just easily go after you and kill you again. Last thing for this point, but allow retaliation without repercussions. Last week I had someone blow up my car with one of the vehicles that also has missiles. So when I respawned I took out my homing launcher and returned the favor, only for the game to charge me for their vehicle and condescendingly call me a 'bad sport' for blowing up someone's car even though they started it. I hate this shit. During race events, if someone's griefing, they shouldn't be allowed to make contact with other cars. With the open wheel races and now the stock car races, I've had NUMEROUS people that fall behind, make a mistake, or just don't feel like playing and proceed to go backwards or cosplay as a roadblock for the whole race. It's a niche area, but when they're promoting events that offer more cash and RP and it's filled with assholes and immature little kids throwing a temper tantrum it shouldn't be allowed to affect me having a good time. There's more, but I've probably ranted too much. I'll just finish with this. They should allow us to take progress from GTA V Online into GTA VI Online. Just because this isn't a yearly franchise doesn't mean I'm going to excuse them from pulling an EA where the next installment renders everything you've done in the last game useless. Maybe not a 1:1 transfer of everything, but you should at least get SOMETHING for all your hard work and progress. Apologies for the long-winded comment. The problem is because Rockstar Games only releases a game every 5 years or longer it took them time to catch up to the whole microtranaction scheme. Because of this they want to exploit every penny they can. Look at Red Dead Online, still in beta but they forced "Gold Bars" down your throat and continued to do so even when the game had zero content to keep it afloat. This on top of high level executives and even the co-founder leaving the future of Rockstar games isn't looking as rosey as it once was.

I think like even with new content being added the game has pretty much ran its course at this point just like any other game you eventually get bored playing and move onto something else. I've been playing Online again recently but watching this video is making me question my choices. The last time I played, I quit because I realized "What's the point of making money when you use it to buy other money makers or cars that you'll never use anyway cause you have a flying Delorean." Now having watched your video, that feeling is coming back. It's kind of depressing that the game is such a grind for very little reward, like what's the point of doing anything when you'll just use it as a way to get more money in an infinite cycle? I didn't cover EVERYTHING, but my point was to show that for a LONG time, ALL they did was add new cars and guns. Which was an issue. I think you shold play gta online I know it's got a lot of problems but in spite of that I still love the game HOWEVER you NEED to get it with a group of friends so you can play heists together because playing with randoms is hell, and if you all play together you'll all increase in skill relatively the same meaning by the time you start doing heists you won't all be dying constantly. Also mission 3 in jobs was one of my favorite things to do when I started playing.

I really like this game, but yeah it’s pretty damn repetitive. But if you haven’t checked out the Diamond Casino Heist yet, you should hop on. You only need two people and you can change entry points and exit points, go in loud or stealth, or use a disguise. Rockstar did good with this dlc, but Gta online isn’t for everyone, so I respect your opinion. Keep up the good work my guy.

I remember when me and my buddies found a mission called "Coveted" and it was by the wind farm. It paid like 15k or something and only one of us could start it cuz we were low levels. We grinded it out all day and got like 350k each, and it was the best feeling in the world, rockstar removed it not long after :(

If they made the world more like an RPG, with npcs u can befriend, call to hang out, follow you around for a bit, give them a gun, made a few more NPCs wander around the streets then it'd seem less like a template, a barren map for the player activities to take place in, then it'd have more of an alive feeling and feel less like a dumb boring post op van grind. And some more RPG elements, like continuing to give you a tiny bit more toughness as you continue to level up. Maybe introducing a fame / notoriety thing into the game opening up new events and activities for really high level players. Like a level 1000 CEO can upgrade their CEO status to a Securoserve Guru or something like that, letting them actually control how much their associates are paid, or even give them bonuses of whatever amount they want that come right out of the CEO's pocket. Or like if you hit level 2000, you can start a Mafia Family, which lets you share anything with members of it. Cars, money, property. This is just an example of the base point im trying to make - put more small things to do to breathe LIFE into the world. R* make very good open worlds, but in online, it's dumb, barren, boring and lifeless. You can't use half the arcade machines you see around on the streets, or the vending machines. You can't enter 99% of the buildings, you can't even make gestures that NPCs respond to like you can in single player. Mini-heists would be great, there are plenty of small banks, jewelry stores, pawn shops, but you can't rob any of them for a larger payout than the gas stations and off licenses. You can actually do VERY LITTLE in GTA online. I would love to see many of the shops fleshed out more, like this U-TOOL DiY store. Why can't we go in there and have access to a ton of weird different melee weapons like rakes, chainsaws, plethora of hatchets and hammers? Even limited use weiird things like shopping trolleys umbrellas or garden chairs. Shopping trolleys would be so funny, if a friend could press F to sit in there and you push them around. There could also be furniture shops that let you customise your apartments. There are many skateparks but all we can do is ride a BMX around with crappy controls and all we can do is bunny hop on it. There should be skate shops, roller blades and other things like this, skateboards and maybe even a skill bar that goes up the more we skate unlocking tricks we can do. I seem to envision GTA online's potential to be a virtual world where you play as someone who is not ONLY a master criminal or a thug but is also a virtual human being with a life that can engage in many different activities. Instead of adding anything like this to breathe life into their world they spat on the community by adding Saints row ridiculous futuristic things that allow children to get with a gifted shark card and grief people's hard work grinding. That's another thing that seriously needs to change - the way R* incentivises griefing. There is a fucking report option for griefing. The game punishes you for fighting back against griefers, and punishes them if they destroy your vehicles. But the game makes a big deal out of telling you to grief people, whenever possible? They're doing acargo run, blow them up!! They're doing a CEO mission, stop them!! They're doing a fucking client mission..??? Fuck them up!!! Stealing a car!! Nuke the car!!! It's confused as fuck! It doesn't seem to really know what it wants, it seems to be a mixed bag of random unfinished ideas in this regard. If you do blow up someone's cargo, they lose like a million or more that took them all day to grind up, and you get............ 2000 dollars????? Not even enough to buy a pair of fucking SHOES in this game! This whole system needs to be reworked because it breeds tryhard little cunts that play specifically to ruin people's gaming sessions and the game gives them too many excuses to think it's okay. Blowing up someone's weaponised vehicles shouldn't count toward bad sport. Blowing up someone's CARGO / MISSION / CRATES ETC definitely should! The kind of player who goes after people's cargo is the worst kind of trouble maker not including modders currently on the game. Just going around blowing people up isn't nearly as bad as going after people with the purpose to waste their time and derail their grinding and money making. It's normal griefing + that extra fuck you. These are the kinds of people that need to be segregated to the bad sport lobbies. Let them play together... let them nuke eachother. We shouldn't be getting put into bad sport lobbies for fucking DEFENDING OURSELVES against these people, it's absolutely retarded right now. As I said, a mixed bag of unfinished ideas. An utter LOLSCAPE, that makes it almost laughable that there are microtransactions. The phone is also criminally misused. The lifeinvader thing could be how you could implement the npc befriending thing. Randomly generate some randomly named generic randomised NPC to meet up with and hang out with etc. It could also be a great way to streamline the adding of friends ingame. Social club itself could even be integrated with the lifeinvader app. Right now the phone is there to pester the fuck out of you to buy the DLC properties or do certain shitty missions, the majority of the websites are shut down.... it's piss poor. But having said all of this, I would honestly just be happy if they found a way to get rid of the fucking modders and cheaters. They ruin everything. It's gotten so bad on PC at this point that I AM HAPPY TO JUST SEE A BUNCH OF DUDES BLOWING EACHOTHER UP ON OPPRESSORS WITHOUT USING MODS!! Like whatever, put in flying bikes and shit, give us a fucking BMX mk2 cyborg robot with railguns for legs I don't care, just get rid of the modders.

I get his point... There aren't many multiplayer open world games where you can have you and 3 buddies flying around in a helicopter causing absolute mayhem. GTA Online is still very unique in that way and that's why it's even more sad to see that it's just a cash grab.

this game hurts as a car enthusiast. i WANT to like playing this game and i do want the cars. I think about buying more cards when i see gta gameplay, but videos like this really help in bringing me back to earth, thanks dawg.

@@JohnnyADi I'm a grinder, not a PvP type of player. With that said, he's made many good points. I learned how to laugh at the flaws my favorite games have, especially when pointed out in the funny ways Wombat does ("Cloud Simulator. Ever wanted to play as a Cloud? Now you can in GTA Online"). 🤣

The most fun i had on gta online was doing the criminal mastermind challenge for the original heists with my mates last year

Logically if it's a reskin of another car with nothing changed but the skin, you can just grind till you get a car or two or maybe three you like, and just race and get really good at racing

I only enjoy doing open wheel and regular races. I never get bored of doing races.
