Just received my first ICP test back a couple days ago. Everything came back as expected on the major . I did the test just to see where my other trace elements are at . So far everything looks good . But I did have high iodine cuz I was dosing two drops a day into my tank and now being elevated , I can slow down on the dosing. So overall , it helped me see where my tank sits …..

Enjoy your channel and the info man. Just subscribed.... Question for you... I've heard / known for a long time now that manganese is a goni saver which I've historically had trouble with and since buying some of the aquaforest Mn, I've had better results dosing 5ml a week for roughly 145g. just recently however I have seen them start to struggle. Obviously I need to increase. I saw a parkers reef video where a farmer with amazing goni suggested it dissipates out of the water quickly making icp not terribly helpful for that element. My question is, having repeatedly heard MN can be the difference maker, how much and how often do I dose for best results? Ty in advance for any insight.

My recent ICP test shows I have Zero Manganese in my system but my Gonis look great. I dose All For Reef just for my Gonis to be happy and with the ICP test showing Zero Manganese, I’m questioning if I need to dose Manganese on its own now?🤷‍♂️

I would just dose based on ICP testing as it goes down increase your dosage. I hope that helps

There is a difference between precision and accuracy. If Hanna added a few more digits to your Alk tester, it might display 8.1065. That would be more precise. But if it is still +- a couple percent, it isn’t any more accurate. If ICP claims “precision down to parts per trillion” they are saying nothing about their accuracy.

Yes it is, what was confusing was that both ICP tests supposedly had the same resolution and yet one showed it and the other didn’t.
