As far as improving health, I’m a huge researcher and nutrition is a passion of mine. I stumbled upon the carnivore diet and it changed my life… it’s incredible for losing weight, clearing up skin, pretty much any ailment you can think of. Most noticeably to me it improved my mental health to a degree I didn’t think was possible. So I encourage you to look up KZbin videos and hear people’s stories of going carnivore - I know this sounds crazy but plants contain a ton of toxins and anti nutrients and they’re responsible for pretty much every health problem you can think of, I 100% believe that. It goes against everything we’re taught/common knowledge but we really just aren’t built to consume carbs of any kind. We need a high fat/moderate protein diet with as close to zero carbs as possible. This is something you can do as an experiment without spending tons of money just to SEE if it improves anything… give it at least 60-90 days, but most people see massive improvements within 30 days. I mainly eat beef, butter, bacon, eggs (sometimes chicken or seafood) I know it sounds restrictive but it’s SO worth it when you start to feel better physically/mentally, look better (my skin/hair literally reverse aged), and have more energy. It automatically regulates your hormones so if you are having a hormone issue it will help that too. Lots of doctors on KZbin promoting this way of eating and explaining how it is ancestrally appropriate. Again - I relate to feeling frustrated with the medical industry. Their education is literally funded by drug companies so they are learning very biased ways of treating conditions - they know almost nothing about proper nutrition and don’t even ask you about your diet most the time. It’s so discouraging which is why I have had to take matters into my own hands and heal my health problems myself.

Sorry for the late response your comment was flagged by KZbin for some reason and hidden in my “held for review” section which I don’t check often so I didn’t know you’d commented! I think it’s interesting that your experience usually mirrors mine a lot of the time. My brother has been on carnivore diet for about 6-7 months and my dad 5 or so. My brother is always telling me I should do it but I don’t know I don’t know if I will enjoy it. I already don’t enjoy food because of my taste smell problem and I was never a big meat eater so it seems maybe not the best move for me but I can see the benefits. My brother had a sore on his foot for a year and a half that just never healed he was pre-diabetic despite being relatively thin. He ate really badly and didn’t take care of his body well. He tried a ton of doctors and things to heal his sore on top of his foot but nothing medical worked. They wanted to like remove his veins or something. So he tried carnivore which he’s strict about and I think last month he told me his wound finally reached a point of healing that it was closing up. Do you drink electrolytes? I think my dad and brother said that was super important on that diet.

@@saywinkepilogue Ugh, the fact my comment was flagged pisses me off, lol. A lot of censorship happens in the carnivore community (which should tell us something) ...big food and big pharma companies don't WANT us to heal ourselves through real food, they want to continue profiting off of us, selling us addictive products, keeping us dumb and weak and easy to manipulate (consumers). I can relate to you, I was never a big meat eater either... just didn't really care for it. But if you don't enjoy food much anyway, you might as well put the proper nutrition in your body (food isn't supposed to be a pleasurable/drug-like/dopamine inducing experience, it's just supposed to fuel the body). My energy levels these days are OUT OF THIS WORLD, I can just go go go (10 years ago I never could have DREAMED of having this kind of energy, I was practically bed ridden). After a while of being on this diet, your tastes change - now I love red meat and I love the chewy fatty bits (which I used to think were so gross!). You get back to how nature intended and most people on this diet only want ruminant animals (like cows, who have multiple stomach chambers) and the more lean meats like chicken and fish don't seem as appetizing. Your hunger signals get all messed up when you eat carbs - once you remove them, you only feel hungry when you are TRULY hungry (many people only eat once a day, I eat twice). That's awesome that your dad and brother are doing it, more and more people seem to be catching on because those of us that do it can't shut up about the benefits so word spreads. My dad just ended up in the hospital from hypertension (caused by eating too much sugar/carbs!) and I'm working on convincing him to go carnivore to hopefully extend his life and have a better quality of life. I won't lie, the transition is not easy, so might want to do it slowly. Getting off carbs causes withdrawal symptoms just like getting off any other drug! Some YT channels I recommend: KenDBerryMD (huge wealth of information), MyZeroCarbLife (very charismatic lady who lost a ton of weight and does lots of interviews) , Steak and Butter Gal (she had lots of acne/skin issues that she healed from this diet), Neah's Way (I love her/relate to her most, she's our age)...there's a ton more out there!

I had Invisalign from age 33-35… I was quoted 12-18 months and when they said that I thought “okay, it’s going to take 2 years” and I was right. Also something to keep in mind is you will have to wear trays at night for the rest of your life or they will shift back, so it’s a continued expense to keep buying retainers (I get a new set about every 6 months or so). I am happy to have straight teeth and it’s more comfortable, my bite is better overall but it took time to adjust to a completely different bite. I have heard horror stories of people whose bite got more messed up after Invisalign - a lot of people warn against getting treated by a dentist as straightening teeth is not their specialty. I’d recommend a highly trained/high rated orthodontist (tho more expensive, it’s just not worth the risk of going the cheaper route when it comes to your teeth imo). Another thing to consider - the health of my teeth declined. My teeth have de-calcification from the attachments that were on my teeth, and one tooth even became more translucent. There’s even risks of teeth falling out (I’ve heard of it happening to people, I used to be in facebook groups for Invisalign which really opens your eyes to everything that could go wrong.) Not trying to scare you, you might luck out and have a totally smooth/good experience but there’s also a lot that can go wrong so it’s a risk. It might be worth it tho if it makes you less self conscious and feel better about smiling. Overall I’m happy I did it but I wish I had known more about the risks. Also I felt gaslit by the staff at the end - they put in a permanent wire retainer and I immediately had bad effects from it - it gave me headaches (I never get headaches) and when I went back in to discuss this they were like “ooooh, are you under a lot of stress lately” i was like “no, there’s been no change in my life besides this metal in my mouth” and they didn’t seem to believe it was possible… but I insisted they remove it and I immediately felt better. So I just stick to wearing the plastic trays at night (and my bottom teeth did not stay perfectly straight, but at least much better than what they were pre-treatment) …so just know that perfection probably isn’t possible, just improvement. They also told me it’s not possible that the attachments caused decalcification - then how come I didn’t have that before? And how come the decalcification is in the EXACT shape of where the attachment was, lol …that pissed me off. At the end of the day they are selling you a product/service and they don’t want to be held responsible for anything that may go wrong… just something to be wary of.

Omg I'm like wide eyed at reading this. First of all I am so sorry that your experience was like this. It sounds so grueling. Good for you for going to them and telling them to take the wire out. You know your body best. It's such a hard thing to be like look I have a problem when they are using their expertise to tell you it's not possible. It's such a weird balance of trusting yourself vs trusting them. Ugh makes me think I should have gotten regular braces. Ugh. I knew about the commitment for life thing with the retainer or the trays to keep it straight but I guess I didn't know about all the ways it could make things much worse. Thanks for letting me know your experience, I appreciate it.

My retainers that I use are still good after 2 years - no need to repurchase them, they said they will last 10 years not sure about that but cleaning helps a lot and also they are made of a thicker material I think that they might last 7 years

@JaciStarr6 ай бұрын
@@asatara5750True, they can last longer, it’s not necessary to replace them as often as I do… I just feel they get kinda nasty after a while even with consistent cleaning. Also when I put in new trays they feel much tighter which leads me to believe the trays do get a bit looser over time.
@asatara57506 ай бұрын
@@JaciStarr we might have different retainers. Mine are by No means perfect but with a vinegar and water mixture where they stay in it for a few hours I get them relatively clean. And when I leave them out for a few days they are kind of tight again. But we will see how long mine will last… I am always scared of loosing them, cuz I only have one pair

I have done invisiglin for 3.5 years. I just wanted to close a small gap bur the dentist was determined to make it wider and better overall. I Paid a good Price for what He did… But it took forever 😅
@saywinkepilogue6 ай бұрын
Omg that’s soooo long how did you manage that length of time??? The only way I said yes to this was because they quoted me 13 months for my case. I understand it might take a few more trays if things don’t move as they imagine they will but 3.5 wow. Was that the length of time you thought all along??? Hats off to you for your persistence my god.
@asatara57506 ай бұрын
The length I thought was one year …. Then it went on and on … I kept asking …the thigh is when things are not going to Plan they will do new scans and order new plastic aligners that takes a while … that needed to happen multiple times …after a while you just endure and accept it how it is 😅 the final result was very good though

@@asatara5750 OMG! Thank you for your feedback. I was thinking this might be a quick and easy thing. Now I'm realizing what I might be in for. Since two of you guys have said it takes forever. Did you have the bonding done on your teeth after?

I think it’s still worth it but such things can happen. Yes I did the bonding but also need to wear aligners twice per week. Happy to help, I would do it again, it was worth the pain
