Aside from being ugly, it would be a grandly stupid idea to take it down! Ugly can be fixed easily enough, just paint or render it to the same degree as a plain woman's makeup turns her into a beauty! Maybe Michael can paint a mural? He made a room look like it has 3D paneling with only paint & talent! I imagine trees, flowers, climbing vines, blue skies & clouds! Maybe a deer, rabbits, squirrels & birds too. But I do know that he's good with Beatrix Potter animals❤! Though he is kinda busy at the moment😢...

When you give Billy his mower back in the summer ask to borrow the cherry picker to jet wash and seal the staircase wall 👍

My thought about the tower that I had not written was to tile hang it to keep the weather out, for minimal disruption ad cost. More expensive than water proof paint, but does not need to wait for the existing structure to dry out to be installed. However, it is your castle, your home and your call, you must do what it=s right for you and the building as you see the situation.

I don’t know if you’ve considered bringing in a commercial dehumidifier to help offset the moisture. But two things come to mind- availability of that equipment and financial resources to do so. And a way/place for a hose to drain off the extracted water which pulls through the machine. But I’m over in America and we do things differently, not better. Don’t misunderstand me.. Just different in some respects. Either way Phil I absolutely trust you will sort out the best solution for you and your situation/issues. Keep in mind- we don’t have really château’s and castles across the pond. We have, historically, very different architecture and building styles . Not all of ours is inspiring I must say.. Take care and stay safe.

I,ve used breathable water proof paint on render and it worked - buy the hi spec ronseal version - I was surprised to find my white render paint looked great and render was solid it was not waterproof !

I think you should knock it down and rebuild it with Legos. They are completely waterproof, they won't start deteriorating for thousands of years, you can build in any color you like, you can change the shape or color at will, and you can get a few of those little Lego men to help you. Make sure you get the construction worker ones so you don't have to train them. And be careful you don't accidentally grab one of the Lego lawyers because he'll start a union and then they'll all strike on you for better benefits. Don't ask me how I know. Lightning likes the game "Watch the Ball Fly", but he's not a big fan of the companion game "Fetch". He looked at you like "You're the one who threw it, you go fetch it." He's such a good boy.

Many Years ago My grand parents Home they had a push machine that the gardener would use to sweep up leaves it looked like a big hopper with a street sweeper brush at the bottom you would push it over the lawn like a mower but the sweeper would barely touch the grass sweeping the leaves into the hopper no raking made the lawn very clean.

There was no fire. The owner knocked down that wing of the chateaux to sell off the stones to pay a debt. I also think because of the window tax. Many chateaux blocked up windows because some silly rule about facing you based on the number of windows you had.

I think that a lot of people do not understand rendering. It is not a term we use in Canada. I do live in a house with something similar but never heard the term rendering till I came across it on your videos.
