Dear legal queen. It's fabulous that you are helping people who know nothing, navigate the complexities if the legal world and answer questions. Since respondents to unwanted divorces don't want their lives LATER to become an ongoing future nightmare please explain the reason why only a lawyer can get it right first time in drafting the EXACT words acceptable to a judge to get the petitioner permanently off their back forever in the future and contrast it with why a layman's version will ALWAYS be unacceptable. Thanks

Just love to thank you for your acknowledgement of the hassle of needing to be free of a narcissist. I don't know if parental alienation is a punishable crime. Love the way you handle form filling. Why not do one that shows the difference between the wording of a layman's clean break agreement and the translation to fluent legalese, also no assets either side and financial settlements where one is better than the other at handling money and the efficient one becomes the BAIL OUT target. Also does the lawyer who reduces financial liability for the client get to BLEED the client for having done so ?

Sadly, you may have ex who chooses to not negotiate because he wants you to incur more legal costs! Court case where ex submitted lies on court papers. In court, refuses to be thoughtful as kids involved. Ex doesn't care as he did not bring FO to court even though he wants to enjoy life with fiance (but tells judge he lives with woman and has a separate room 🙄) As he has not paid court costs, he's wanting to make mother if his kids suffer with more debt. Why do courts not penalise folk like this? He's doing things out of spite. Never paid for kids or mortgage.

This is a very brief overview of the procedure and doesn't mention the possibility of contested hearings, FDR hearing or more importantly the huge amount of work and expense of a final hearing. Having gone through the process for a year my advice is to get a good solicitor and barrister. They could end up saving you money depending on the amount being contested.

I notice that your video mentions specifically not to send ones own form E without an agreement on when exchange is taking place. Does one say there are ready on form G if no form E exchange has taken place? Does this apply even if the judge has ordered that forms are to be shared with the other side? What are the advantages/disadvantages of doing this please?

Want to ask a question regarding the following scenario.....If an ex spouse (female) files for divorce in their home country (Pakistan) and also asks for past maintenance because as per Pakistani family law you can only have future maintenance up to 90 days after the divorce (if no children involved which is the case in here). The same ex spouse then also files for maintenance in the UK court because that would deal with the future maintenance. The marriage was only registered in Pakistan and the divorce proceedings occurred only in Pakistan too. Both the spouses are Pakistani nationals but lived as spouses in the UK for 6-7 years. Question - is the ex spouse eligible to get maintenance via UK courts or is it like having jam on both sides of the toast? thanks

Could you kindly advise of how to get my husband retirement compensation in our settlement ( married 25 Y) my share 50% . he is a consultant neurosurgeon for NHS . This is separate money from the pension which I am already in . It is a month paid x each working year = mega money at the time of retirement life pension but not Thank you
@Epermenia2 жыл бұрын
I'm going through this. He has to declare his pension value on his form E. My solicitor says he needs to get an actuary report too. Everything is taken into account. He has to declare it by law.
