I think offensively he could easily play in the pros. I wonder if he could hang with them defensively. I think on the right team, with the right coaches, that he could do it.

You underestimate how good even NBA scrubs are. Professor played JUCO and then streetball, that's nowhere near NBA level. I fuck with professor but NBA players can score at a different level from him. He got a great handle but that's the only thing he does at an NBA level.

He’s good at basketball entertainment. I’m old enough to have been to an AND-1 game in Sacramento California. When I watched the game I was shocked at how no one played defense and the only purpose was to try to get a highlight no real basketball was even being played. So many turnovers and mistakes (outtakes) occurred it this god awful two hours I was there. It reminded me Of average skateboarders filming themselves downtown falling 50 times before they land it once

Respect to finding a career path where he could succeed. Not everyone is born as athletic as what the NBA requires. That's the fault of the sport itself, not really on him (basketball isn't like soccer in the sense that anyone short or tall could succeed)

If he would have been an all star why did he not stand out in JUCO or go any further? C'mon man if he could play in the league he'd would have. He's a big name and would draw fans just for the opportunity. He wouldn't make any NBA team today, it's funny you say how he'd make it especially today but today the role players are probably better than ever. The baseline to make the league is harder than ever.

He is better than me, I'm willing to admit. But the thing is actual basketball and streetball are two different animals. Scouts look at size, height, defensive and rebounding ability, shooting percentage, etc. How you can contribute to winning games. Not only at how well you handle the ball. There are anomalies like Bogues and Webb but they are the exception not the rule. Don't get me wrong I respect the professor and he is entertaining, but I just don't think he would be that impactful in a pro setting

Also palms the ball like most nba players but league allows it cuz it makes them look like better players then they really are. Go to back the 60,s, 70,s, 80, 90,s and palming the ball was an illegal move. Except for John Stockton who palmed it every time too but they didnt call it! Just saying again.

*He can score to any NBA players, yeah that's a fact. But the nba needs a two way player that can do defense and offense at the same time. They didn't make an offer for him because he is not even 6 footer and just a skinny guy. A bench player can easily score against him so they refuse to give this man an nba contract. professor's skill can make your favorite idols in the NBA looks amateur. but defensively, he is not able to guard them with that skinny size. this is the truth about it*

That's not true, NBA players also can play D. It doesn't show when they have to guard other elite players but there's times professor struggles on rec league guys. NBA guys are a whole different animal. If professor was league level scoring wise he'd have gotten further than JUCO ball. Son can ball but y'all don't realize how good the NBA is.

Ok let’s adjust some facts here from someone whose been there before : Frankly you are making things up. First - The CBA folded in 2009. The Dleague began in 2001. They both coexisted since 01. I. Other words the d league was there as far back as your HS years, despite you saying otherwise. That was an avenue available. You couldn’t get off the bench at a weak community college. This is a fact., This is all excuses and rationalizations from someone who simply was not good enough. Mediocre in Hs, mediocre in college. Found a niche in an area that is an entertainment form of the super like a globe trotter, and has done well for himself but stop this nonsense about the nba or Europe.
