The guy playing the Telecaster seen infront of the white piano is Mickey Gee .He played the opening lick on I hear you knocking and many other great songs. An unbelievable player and before he passed away played in my local pub.

Not only one of the great performers of this or any era, Dave Edmunds is also a wizard producer as heard here, and a stunning instrumentalist, as he played everything on this recording and many of his other gems. He MUST be included in the rock and roll hall of fame, his entire soul IS rock and roll!

I'm going to be in dutch for posting this on every vid, but why oh why was Dave left out of the history of Rockabilly book? Yeah, he can and does do everything, but he has done more than ANYBODY in the last 40 years to keep rockabilly alive and get folks hooked on the style. DE forever!

Again, Dave doesnt need anyone to make him sound good. Dave sounds great on his own with just a guitar , or a full band behind him.

I like the way Dave sings verse two. Most covers leave this verse out as Elvis did. Brilliant song. Great version.

Micky is not on this recording. I did it all myself. Drums and slap d/bass were put on a couple of years later. It's a copy of a copy, and you can hear the tape flutter. Originally vocal & riff guitar recorded together on a one-track mono machine. Solos added later.
