SL you are like a kid with the magnets. I am soon to be 71 and I am the same way. Razors that have magnet on them are just so cool. It's fun to pick up blades with them. I am too easily amused.

Good to see you my friend. I’m sorry I haven’t commented in a while. I’m just going through a tough time and haven’t been myself. I always watch your videos and they bring a laugh or a smile to my face. Your personality is what makes your videos. I hope you are doing well. Thank you for being who you are. Josh

I really wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed this video. 1. You use plain old foam in a can. I started into DE shaving and bought the boutique soaps, but the made my skin break out. I went back to using my grandfathers favorite, Barbasol. 2. Echerds Drug was my favorite store as a kid. They had Topps baseball cards in the rack cellophane pack. It was like 32 cards or something for a buck. 3. I watch your channel not so much for the shaving products but more so because you tell great stories. Finally, I have a couple of good DE razors I love like my old Krona that looks like my grandfather's. I also have an Aristocrat clone and a Merkur 1904. I totally cheap out and use old school aftershave like Brut and Pinaud Clubman. I love your videos. Keep telling great stories

sinatra. I was looking for something to shave my face as well as some intimate body areas & came across your norelco vs DE razor video. skip ahead several months & today I have 5 safety razors, 2 shavettes, 5 shave creams, 3 post shave balms & when my witch hazel runs out i’m thinking of making my own mentholated & pineapple scented rub & it’s all thanks to you & kevvy shaves. P.S if my partner starts finding my stash of products i’ll need to blame you. please let me know if that’s ok

I love the Wahl, though what i do for eyebrows is i go without the guard and only shave the tail and space above/between the brows. It takes care of the general shape and when the core even gets too thick i go for a threading (like every four months or so)

After leaving the world of cartridge razors and getting an old Gillette Fat Boy it is difficult for me to think of spending money on a more modern single blade razor. Sorry, but it is a blast from the past to shave like my father did in the 1950s. Meanwhile, I like to see SL obtain and demonstrate a wide variety of razors so I do not have to nor afford to buy.

Good day, seen an earlier comment regarding the Haryali London safety razor, very common in the Uk, I started wet shaving again after many years and chose the Haryali, can’t compare it as no experience with other razors. Would appreciate your opinion on this razor as you know your wet shaving onions…

Damn, do I wish something like this would be easy to access in Europe... Seriously, I love safety razors, but sometimes I just miss the feel of the cartridge ones and this seems like the sweetspot for me. The only thing similiar which is somewhat accessable here is OneBlade with specially designed Feather blades, but it it's so expensive and the blades are too... unique, if you know what I mean (you can use regular blades for these razors). But hey, the Parker Injector seems like a nice one! It doesn't have movable head, but oh well! Can get used to that, like with regular safety razors, right? Stay safe, mister!
@jackdolinger8209 ай бұрын
I have a question about safety razors. I know you have to replace the blade regularly. But do you eventually have to replace the razor itself or are they designed to last forever as long as you clean them?
@gregdsmusiccaptures15789 ай бұрын
Most metal handles will last a lifetime, especially the old vintage Gillettes.

What would you recommend for razor burn? I’m using a Wilkinson sword DE safety razor with Astra blades, I’m doing everything “right” so to speak, warming the face, using shave oil, pre shave and a good shaving cream then using after shave balm and yet I have hideous shaving burn all over my neck. Never had this problem with cartridge razors.
@whoobibi9 ай бұрын
Sharp blade. Mild shaver. Never shave against the grain. Never do more than 3 passes. Make sure you have lots of lather each pass.
@billstanley3309 ай бұрын
Always use a gentle touch, let the razor do the work and if you still have problems check the angle you are shaving at. I had the same issues with Astra blades, didn't matter what razor I had them in , they just did not suit me, so maybe look at getting a sample pack of different blades to find one that suits.
@abeltofscotch41209 ай бұрын

@@abeltofscotch4120 I use German Wilkinson Sword, which are the best blades for me, sharp enough and very good long life

Depends on factors such as how often you shave and how thick you hair is. However, generally once it starts to not shave smooth and the hairs start to pull on the razor instead of gliding through, it's probably time to swap

So... what would stop someone from returning the v1 version for a refund and buying the v2? You know, except from being an a** move...

Agreed I have V1 and it kinda sits unused a lot just didn't wow me. But watching this video being reminded of the return policy had me like...hmm 🤣 I like that they've grooved the "top cap" seems like it would glide better.

Sadly, sent mine back and got the full refund. They stand behind it. If they can reengineer it so get closer under the nose, I’ll buy again.
