IM SO HAPPY I FOUND THIS VIDEO. I been wearing minitwist FOREVER! I take down and retwist every two months. Everyone keeps asking why I won’t let them lock. My answer……..I don’t want to loose my curly ends look on my minitwist. Then I find this video explaining how to keep my curly ends and go ahead an interlock my roots from now on. I love what Paul Mitchell “The Conditioner” does when I smooth it in using praying hands. My ends POP with curls. I cannot believe I can still do this and start interlocking my roots. I’m so happy. This is the last time I’m going to take down and retwist. I’m so excited. My goal is 250-300 minitwist and to create a perfect neat grid since this is the last grid I will ever make on my scalp. I’m so so happy, I’m going to watch alllll your videos while I take down my twist, I’m so excited!

I love having loose ends on my locs but the maintenance can get annoying sometimes. The curlier parts of my hair are always trying to seal after a wash. I still love it tho. Wayyy less maintenance than a whole head of loose natural hair. I made a video on how I maintain my loose ends on my channel. Similar to what you showed but I use gel to define my curls.

Haven't reached the stage yet where I need to pick out ends to keep them curly because I'm only 9-1/2 months in and my ends are still curly. but I know that to maintain them over time, I'll need this info later on. So thanks for sharing this technique with us.

I have a lot of lint on the bottom so I want to comb out the ends to take them out that way instead of cutting them like I planned because I don’t want to bleach my hair to cover it .

Hi. I'm 5 mos. in and use oil on my scalp. I am white hairline is so dry. Not sure when to start conditioning. I agree with you that the look of coily ends looks nicer. BUT THE FRIZZ THE FRIZZ THE FRIZZ😳 Love your channel and glad you're back

Thank you, and the frizz is real, but I do love the frizz now that I'm fully loc'ed. I was not a fan of it as much when I was loc'ing. I thinks it makes the hair look fuller now. I started using conditioner once my hair was fully loc'ed. I tried to use it once prior to my hair being loc'ed, and one of the locs came completely out. After that, I waited until it was loc'ed, and I've had no issues with it since then.

The way I knew my hair was loc’ed was when I washed it, and attempted to unravel it when wet and it would not unravel. Once my hair did not unravel at the ends, and did not slip at the scalp, I knew it was loc’ed, and I began to use conditioner. Although my hair was still frizzy, it was loc’ed. Everyone’s locing time is different, but I hope this helps.

I am almost 3 and a half years locked and have ends like yours but I didn't pick mine out - some ends are naturally coiled and it's really noticeable when my hair is wet or damp. But I think it looks untidy when dry especially cos its frizzy. I don't know what to do with it!

Great video! I had sisterlocks installed a few days ago and love how then ends are a bit loose and frizzy. Is there something I can do to maintain this look and ensure that my ends don't lock?

You can put conditioner on the ends, but if your hair is not loc’ed, especially with sisterlocs, you will risk them unraveling, so I wouldn’t suggest it, until you are loc’ed.

i love my curly ends for the look of them, but as of lately i’ve noticed they felt very dry. i almost feel like i’m causing more harm than good. i’m contemplating on letting them loc up, and maybe in a few months i’ll comb them back out if i feel like i want that again.
