The Protestant Reflex | A Drive-Time Monologue

Everyone has reflexes and automatic responses and even triggers in response to physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual inputs.
In this drive-time monologue, I share what I am calling the "Protestant Reflex." That is, the automatic response that most Protestants have when discussing theological ideas with Catholics. As someone who spent 33 years in Protestantism and Evangelicalism and who has converted to Catholicism, I try to help Protestants detect and understand their own automatic responses to Catholic ideas, and share a bit about how Catholics reflexively engage the same ideas.

Two different languages I now know. Because it can be frustrating talking to a protestant. I used to get confused when a protestant asked me "are you saved"?.

When a protestant does something=not contradicting the Bible therefore acceptable. When a Catholic does something=not explicitly found in the Bible therefore unacceptable. They also define the essentials based on the groups they want to get along with

When I had a discussion with a friend we tread this ground all the time. Where in the bible does it say children should have their own service? What about different ministries and conferences for spouses and unmarried people?
