If you want a Strat you should buy a Fender Stratocaster, the real thing ! They offer many different models at different price points. If you want the Strat sound buy a Fender. I did watch your video. By the way I own a PRS for its own style and sound.

I've literally owned hundreds of guitars and don't understand why someone would have a hard time transitioning necks? Yes they're all slightly different but not impossible.

I wanted to hate this guitar, I tried one to see how bad it was, and I ended up buying one. I love my silver sky almost the only guitar I use now.

The problem with companies like PRS is their price. If the silver sky is their affordable model and its still £2300, thats ridiculous. Id rather get a player and customise it, and still come out with change. I dont think PRS will dethrone fender any time soon.

The JM version isn’t worth. The SE version is an amazing guitar under $1k and I even found one for $600 used. But a SS John Mayer is about $1600-1800 used n $2300-2700 new depending where you look. Absolutely bogus is 3x as expensive and you really can’t tell the difference through the right amp. Can get two American ultra strats off reverb for same price as one silver sky. However the silver sky SE like I said is probably the best guitar you can possibly buy for the $. That’s where my controversy lies with PRS. Their base models are so well made the diminishing returns for a core model, is just so not worth the price difference. On any of them really from the custom 24 to the Paul’s guitar to the SS to the 594.
