Billy practically represents Daredevil's main argument against the Punisher, redemption. Billy might have been able to be redeemed (and daredevil probably would have tried) a part of Frank didn't want to kill his former best friend, but in the end the Punisher is still the Punisher and he shot him without any hesitation, being an executioner is not perfect and morally it might be messed up but it's sure as hell more effective lol

Before launching the attack on the police station earlier in the season the last thing the pilgrim said to the cops was the quote "Those that sow the wind shall reap the whirlwind" . He believed that he was the righteous one punishing them for protecting his targets and not handing them over. By the end here he realises that it was himself sinning all along and that the Punisher was always the righteous divine punishment.

"They that sow the wind, shall reap the whirlwind" - Hosea 8:7 What a season. I know that it's not as highly ranked as the first in the minds of many, but I personally loved it. I'm a total sucker for the "grizzled older man paired with younger girl with attitude" dynamic, a la The Last of Us, The Hound and Arya, Logan and Laura, etc. Pilgrim was one of my personal favorite antagonists, they did a fantastic job making his character sympathetic - this man used to be the scum of the earth, a neo-nazi gangster, but he turned his life around, found a faith to pursue, and had a wife and children to care for. Then the Schultzes took his newfound faith and twisted it to suit their own needs, and turned him into a perverted hitman. I know some people are kinda 50/50 on the whole Pilgrim plotline, but once somebody explained it to me I liked it a lot more: Pilgrim spends most of his time in New York wandering, seemingly aimlessly, getting beat up for no reason, and the audience's frustration with his lack of direction is his own feeling, "what am I doing here while my wife is wasting away at home?" kinda thing. Billy's arc was great this season, Ben Barnes was really amazing. Amy was one of my new favorite characters, superb job by Giorgia Whigham. My only real foible would be that I didn't care for the doctor's plotline, but Krista was always kind of a terrible person, so that made her hard to sympathize with from the start. Other than that, I really enjoyed this season, and it was super fun to watch you guys go on that journey as well. Also, a special shout-out to that elevator fight scene, that shit was awesome. Next Monday's going to be weird, first time in a long time I won't be able to sit down and watch a new reaction to the Marvel Netflix series.

Eric is usually good at recognising bible verses. "They that sow the wind, shall reap the whirlwind" is usual proverb from Old Testament Hosea 8:7 "For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it has no stalk; the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up." - essentially suffer the consequences of their own actions. In this case Pilgrim was ready to accept his fate at Frank's hand, whatever that may be.

I really hope this isn’t the last time we see Jon Bernthal aswell as the cast in these roles .. I hope Hulu picks them up after this stupid 2 year ban is lifted. I’m missing my Netflix heroes and I want them back with the same cast!!. Anyway , the fights and action scenes in this episode were great ,my favorites being the elevator fight and the junkyard fight . I thought Pilgrim was ok overall , he was a nice mirror for Frank as two men trying to escape their violent pasts but Frank accepts it at the end while Pilgrim doesn’t and wants to be better for his kids. Frank taking down the senator’s parents was sweet too. Billy and Frank has already had their big fight at the end of S1.. there was nothing Billy could say that would change Franks mind , he left him alive one time and he sure as hell wouldn’t do it again , I dug it . I thought S1 was stronger overall but S2 was still good imo

Marvel studios is going to be doing "What If" movies (Just like the comics), which could be a great way to introduce the Marvel Netflix characters into the MCU, or to even get these amazing crossover type situations like Frank becomes War Machine with the skull on it, Punisher and Captain America team up, or Spiderman and Daredevil take on FIsk, etc.

I'm not that religious and my religious education is solely from Sunday morning "Sunday School" and a week in the summer where my mom's church had children's bible study for a few hours a day, and even I know the religious significance of "The Whirlwind". For people who don't know, tornadoes, or "The Whirlwind" in The Holy Bible is an act of God. Often speaking from it, lifting people to Heaven, clearing the land of sinners. More so than even lightning strikes were considered "Smiting" by God, the Whirlwind in The Holy Bible is the tool God used to directly carry out His Will. It's all over The Holy Bible.
