I also cried at how BAD the show got and how they diminished Superman. Superman does not grow old and die. He does not reveal he is Clark, he does not place his family and friends in that kind of danger. This season could have been as good as the first 3 seasons, instead we got what they always planned to do. To take Superman from what he was, to what they want him to be. Replaceable and far lesser than what he was.

@@R0TBThe issue with Snyder’s Superman is how “wooden & alien” he was. What made every other iteration better, especially Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman is the human aspect. That “human” aspect of Superman is why he’s a beloved comic book character. I’m always baffled when people praised DCEU’s Superman. Clark growing up not being able to depend on anyone or have a stable friendship being called out by his sons and seeing him internally hurt realizing how much he missed showed his humanity in a way i hadn't seen before. The show did an amazing job showing us Superman in a relatable phase of life where his world view is changing due to being a father and getting weaker mirroring aging, really made me fall in love with the character arc he had here.

Why are people saying "RIP Arrowverse" when it was supposed to already be over since last year with The Flash's finale while Superman & Lois took place in a separate Earth? It's funny how many are saying that when it's actually more like "RIP DC on The CW" because there won't be anymore scripted content DCTV series airing there anymore thanks to the morons that bought the network. Then again, Star Wars returned. And Stark Trek. And Lord of the Rings as well and Karate Kid through Cobra Kai, so is it really a end? More like Never The End...

@@ponquin Technically I guess. I wanted it and thought it obviously was until that retro-active continuity thing happened at the end of Season 2. Afterwards I simply settled on this Earth (which we never even got a label or name designation at all from the showrunners) existing somewhere out there in the Arrowverse's Multiverse that was born post-Crisis, in it's vicinity if you know what I mean. I know many passionate S&L that would argue against you (and even me) about trying to connect this to the main TV universe even though it is, techically, a fact due to who the leads are. Just wanted to point out those things in my previous post.

Easily the best finale to any DC CW show. A great ending to an incredible show. Glad it finished before it had time to get worse like most of the other CW shows fell victim to. This one is def going down as one of the better Superman adaptations. RIP to DC on CW. They aren't always great. They were pretty frustrating and outright bad a lot of times, but when they were good, they fucking cooked. 20 years+ is a long run and overall I'm glad they kept a torch going for some of these characters who otherwise wouldn't have been given the time of day. And, of, course, I'm especially happy they began and ended with a Superman series and tried their best to keep this character alive when it felt like the higher studio was determined to forget him. Tyler and Bitsie are now iconic Superman & Lois actors. They should feel proud for what they helped create here. They were both exceptional custodians for these iconic characters. The love and care they felt for them was definitely felt through the screen. Wole Parks should likewise feel proud that he got bring John Henry Irons to life in live action for the first time (the first time!).

Thank you boys for your heartfelt reactions to this show. This series was a pleasant surprise for me. I didn’t watch much of the Arrowverse but I grew up with Smallville. I followed it from beginning to end (including the comics). Superman and Lois, from episode 1, felt like a spiritual successor to Smallville. And it’s so well done- writing, performances, visuals. It’s been so nice to feel that love for a series again. Tyler truly blew this role out of the park. And credit to his scene partner as well, Bitsie. This is the first time I actually believed a Clark-Lois romance. I wish the series wasn’t cut short. Even if 4 seasons was all, a few more episodes and a few more dollars could have made a big difference. But we got what we got and these 10 were better than nothing. I loved this show, and will definitely be rewatching it, and it's definitely some of my favorite Superman content. I love that the final season of the Arrowverse was full of flashbacks, just like Arrow did in the beginning, but it also ended by giving us a full life for our characters, going all the way to the end. I really thought for a few minutes that Sarah was not going to show up at the wedding, so I'm glad she and Jordan got their moment together. The only thing I felt was missing was another scene with the twins after the fight. Also, I think it's really fun that Bitsie's actual husband was able to be in the show and play the older Jonathan, especially since he had gotten to direct an episode this season too. I did not expect the older actors to show up, but I appreciate it more rewatching those scenes.

Sounds like they were always going to have Superman die for good at the end of show, no matter how many seasons it lasted

The best superman/Clark all time. I can't believe the dude from teen wolf is the best superman, and has surpassed Reeves.

He's the best all around superman in terms of: being a husband, father, great Clark/Superman combo ,provider....but Christopher was in a wheelchair...helping people walk again, and helping others in many ways...Tyler may be the second best to ever don the cape, and he's the best multi- facetted superman....but I have to still give the nod to Reeve❤❤❤❤❤❤...no disrespect ...and I'm mad as hell they're cancelling this masterpiece of a show😢😢😢

@@KevinLowe-j5v What does him being in a wheelchair matter?

My point was C.Reeve was great as superman/Clark Kent in the movies( to me he was the best) but he was a real life superman for being a great humanitarian ...is that not heroic???!!!

I was crying UNCONTROLLABLY during those last few minutes. They just concluded everything so beautifully and I haven’t felt this good with a series ending in a while. I’m really gonna miss it.

I was someone who thought the finale would have a timeskip to show Clark dying, but holy hell. I could not stop crying through the whole episode, starting with Bizarro accepting death. They really, truly, pulled this off.

The most heartbreaking, yet hopeful scenes ever made for the Big Blue. 💙 The writing, the acting, the cinematography, the music... Thank you to everyone who's been involved in this masterpiece. And of course, thank you Blind Wave for this decade. Can't wait for the next chapter!

I'm usually not a huge fan of Series Finales... that being said... Superman and Lois Finale has to be the best I can remember ever seeing, let alone on CW. Also: interesting that CW superheroes shows started with Smallville and has ending with Superman and Lois.

Been waiting for this reaction all day. I’m gonna miss this show. Thank you to the cast and crew for making one of the best Superman stories ever made. Thank you, Tyler and Elizabeth, for being my favorite versions of Clark Kent and Lois Lane ever, and for inspiring me to be a better person. And thank you, Eric and Aaron, for reacting to this amazing show.

This was the most beautiful finale ever. Tyler is my favorite Superman now even over Reeve. No one beats Reeve’s look tho. I love them all but this show hit different than anything before it. This was the Superman show the fans deserve! Sad its at its end but man what a beautiful ending! Bravo to that entire cast & crew!!!!!

The ending to this episode fucking broke me, for multiple reasons... the main one being (I'm young, almost 20) but iv lived most of my life scared of love and being that vulnerable with someone, as well as the fear of losing that love! I'm a deeply synical and distrusting person, the state of the world, and the constant steam of horrible shit on the news/ internet have conditioned me to be so. But man this ending makes me want to fall in love, and give my self fully to someone so bad! it still scares the shit out of me, and having never really experienced it, I don't know what it all entails, but I'm going to try to be more open to love and to try and find it, and live I guess!
