In The Punisher (2014) issues 6-10, Frank Castle continues his mission to destroy the Los Sols drug cartel in Los Angeles, but he faces a major challenge when the cartel hires elite mercenaries, The Howling Commandos, to finish him off. A fierce battle ensues, with Frank having to pull out all of his combat skills to survive against a better-trained and better-armed force. In the midst of the fight, Frank also discovers corruption among law enforcement who are helping to protect the cartel, so he must be careful about trusting those around him. After a climactic battle against Los Sols and the Howling Commandos, Frank manages to take down several key cartel figures and uncover a wider criminal network.
