I think when you say “everyone” complained about X and now they complain about the opposite that is t exactly true(maybe you are just doing hyperbole, idk) However, those complaining about Allioth OP are not the same people complaining Allioth sucks now. It is just the upset community is always louder, not that it is the same group. I think you all know this, just wanted to make this comment, as it sounds like the act of complaining is actually what you’re pointing out. Keep up the good work 👍

My problem with things like the Zabu and Thanos nerf is that they Leader-ed them when they should have Spider-Man-ed them. Even if those cards just could not continue to exist as they were, they should have been immediately replaced with *playable* cards. The most recent patches essentially removed cards from my collection without replacing them, and that makes me very unhappy.

Since the patch I’ve tried Alioth in a lockdown deck and it’s won me the 4 and 8 cube games several times. Could be that people don’t expect it right now but it’s text is certainly strong against some decks.

On the Magik discussion: I’ve been playing Magik and Absorbing Man in a Sera control shell for a good while now, and have found it to be pretty good. Magik often makes my opponent’s game-plan more consistent yes, but it also gives me a higher chance of drawing the right counter cards, throwing prio, and having a huge surprise swing on that 7th turn (e.g. using AbsMan to play double Shangs on Hella, or Shang and an enchantress on a developed destroy board). I find the cube equity is often worth it, and many players play their big cards or key pieces out on turn 6 giving you easy targets turn 7.

I really appreciate you guys. So much fun watching you discuss this game. It makes the game more enjoyable. I also appreciate that you don't include gameplay. Too many channels just post gameplay which is not really useful for the majority of players.

The trick is that the people complaining about Alioth weren't actually everyone. Just loud. Alioth was a valid safety valve against turn 6 crazy and the best reason to have priority going into turn 6. The worst thing about Alioth to me was and is the change to kill all cards behind Invis Woman. I'm glad that Invis Woman is effectively back thanks to Alioth being dropped heavily in play rate.

Honestly the thing I’m suprised not many ppl are talking about is the fact that SD had to nuke a zabu because they can’t balance an entire cost which I find a bit worrying

I think C2 is well positioned in this meta, it has Shadow King against PF, Echo and Goose against Tribunal, and is good into Loki. It still runs into the Hela problem where it can't best their best draws though. The only tech card that really touches Hela is Leech I think.

Seeing the "utopia" location i was hoping for the release of a card that discards 3 cords One less,...and don't think the up coming phobos cuts It. I Just think cost reduction Is fun, It auments variance in Lines, i Just like too see In the game (and we still have mobious, my most hated card) i'd like too know if there's others that dell' the same

The thing about Alioth is he was the premium "take priority then slam the door" card. That play pattern is now much less viable (IMHO) , and since it's one of my favorites that's a shame. Then again I'm a sicko who thinks OG Leader, Aero, Wave was fine and fun, so maybe I'm not worth listening to 🤷‍♂️

I feel like Alioth ability now is great, but maybe give it more power or take power away and make it hit all 3 lanes instead of 1.

So many streamers treat their chat or commenters like a hive mind (KMBest usually does not). The people complaining about Alioth and the people enjoying playing Alioth and/or having no problems playing against Alioth were 😮 *different people* , and the ones talking disproportionately at any given moment are usually the discontent. I guess even if you know better it’s hard not to develop the idea that *EVERYONE* this and *EVERYONE* that.
