I got this thing called a Slingshot. It changes that strength curve thing I think. Makes the bench press heavier at the top. And my bench goes up. They come in multiple levels from one for push ups all the way to advanced. Get one now.

The Slingshot does change the strength curve being mentioned in the video but not the way you explained. The Slingshot doesn’t provide any form of resistance on the lift, on the contrary it assists you on the bottom portion of the bench press to overcome that sticking point. At the top of the lift for the sake of the example is 225 when you’re bringing it down to your chest the weight will start to decrease (depending level of resistance to 185), now the bands in the slingshot are being stretched out and now on the driving portion of the lift the Slingshot helps by slinging the weight upwards. The weight then starts going back up to 225 and now you’re able to rep out maybe 4-5 more reps on that one rep max weight 🙌🏼 Slingshot is a great thing to have to help improve your strength on lifts.

I’d also posit with chains the stability / wobble builds ancillary strength and stabilizer muscles, especially if you do speed work with them

I like to call it "old school". Don’t let that get in the way of learning something.

All you can do is warn someone not to sign up for patreon. Why don't uou say something about the clip? How's the information etc...? It's more constructive if you were to discuss the podcast info than to cry baby about something you're butt hurt about.

Louie Simmons was a terrible powerlifter and that whole westside barbell conjugate era made powerlifting look like a joke. I’m glad that era is over and powerlifting is as big as it’s ever been
