"In the push press, the core-to-extremity principle is obvious as the muscles of the power zone-including the hip flexors, hip extensors (glutes and hams), spinal erectors, and quadriceps-assist the arms in driving the barbell overhead. With the push press, you will be able to move overhead as much as 30 percent more weight than with the shoulder press. Regular practice of the push press-and the push jerk-develops power and speed, which are critical to effective and efficient athletic movement." -Greg Glassman (adapted)

Is it now heels stay on the floor or heels lift when driving? Crossfit is a bit inconsistent there.

Push press allows more weight to be moved. You should do both

It's a push press, not an overhead press. You dip downwards and the force comes from your legs, your shoulders just lock it out.

You can go through triple extension meaning the heals can leave the ground but the toes must stay grounded :)

They really mean over the middle of your foot. Draw a line straight down from the bar to the middle of your foot. Don’t let the bar go too far back or forward. They briefly draw that line in the video.

Push press is just an assistance exercise for the Press. Nothing major

fine, try to push press 200 kg, its just an assistance exercise, nothing major

@@forfreedom3210 if you press 190kg then you can push press 200kg pretty easily. Assistance exercise is the exercise you do to get unstack on the main lift. So you shouldn't use a push press before you really need to.
