Jason , only tossing out this info. you can plant your potato's through out the year. we do two batches. as soon as we dig up the first round we plant round 2. only time we don't have them in the ground is in winter.

Ameraucana are my favorite chickens. They are so smart and will come when called. If I sit down they will come running up checking my hands and pockets wondering where their treat is. If I keep my back door open I have found them in my kitchen around the dog water bowl chatting low key like secretaries around the water cooler. I did find one on the back of the couch look out the window with the cat on one side and the dog on the other. They know they are not allowed in the house so they saw me and bolted out the back door.
